Rome Zoo Breeds Rare Egyptian Tortoises
A new born Testudo Kleinmanni, known as "Egyptian tortoise," an endangered tortoise, is seen in front of an adult specimen of Aldabra Giant Tortoise, at Rome's Zoo in Italy, Thursday, May 17, 2007. Nine baby tortoises were recently born in Rome's Zoo after their parents were confiscated with some 300 others tortoises discovered in luggage arriving from Libya by Italian park guards during an inspection at an Italian airport in 2005.
