What's this?
Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

They didn't mention (but there are photos of) the $250k CRS-1 they installed in her home to terminate the oc-768.

A standard PC can't keep up with an OC-768 either. She would need a cluster of four machines (with quad PCIe 16x slots) with 32 drives on each (total 128 drives) to read/write an oc-768 at full speed.

That doesn't describe my mom's house, but I guess folks in Sweden are different. ;)

Neat technology, but it is being completely wasted.

I mean, how much porn is a 75 year old Swedish woman likely to download?

His mother isn't exactly making the most of her high-speed connection. She only uses it to read Web-based newspapers.

I wonder how long until she becomes a Newsvine user?

Should I be ashamed of the fact that I secretly hoped they were writing about me & that I had been upgraded out of nowhere? Pshht. :)

Could they at least tell us the specs on how they did it?
