HELPING VETS: A nine-member presidential commission on Wednesday urged broad changes to veterans care.
SUGGESTIONS: The panel's recommendations would boost benefits for family members helping the wounded, establish an easy-to-use Web site for medical records and overhaul the way disability pay is awarded.
CONGRESS: The report was presented soon after the Senate passed legislation to expand brain screenings, reduce red tape and boost military pay.
I was retiired from the Air Force after pyschiatric problems and believe the V.A. still does not give good care to vets having PTSD, my advice to them is to join the Disabled American Veterans they have lawyers who will make sure you get help from our country which does have provisions helping Veterans but you need professional legal help which you will get the best help for all your needs. I now am 100% disabled from the V.A. and get what I need with their assistance due to their knowledge of the system. Veterans I ask you as now a lifetime member of the DAV join today cost is nominal an your needs will be met.
