What's this?
Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

This article is really confusing.

I've read it 3 times, and I'm still not real sure what the point is.

I think:

gBox is a new digital music company.
They've made a deal with Google.
They're one of a handful of companies that Universal is cozying up to in a bid to make Steve Jobs sad.
gBox will sell "both" DRM and DRM-free music.
Though DRM free music SHOULD work on a mac -- gBox will somehow make it NOT work on a Mac -- because they don't want to confuse customers. (What?)

From what I read the "DRM free" music will work on the mac, but gbox service will not work on the Mac, I guess they mean on Macs not running windows. Basically they are selling two types of music files, a DRM and a DRM Free. The DRM files will not work on Mac. The gBox service will not be available to Macs so (according to them) the customers will not be confused..LOL... Why would anyone want to buy DRM music if there is a DRM Free available? moreover I think most mac users (if not all) are smart enough to know what type of music files to buy if they are told that gBox DRM music won't work on their Macs. I guess this what happens when the music industry try to outsmart themselves, yes it does not make much sense.
