And these people sacrificed for what? Bush's ego? pnacs master plan?
Iraq wasnt a current threat to the US and the amount of money we have wasted could have feed the worlds children for 5 years, shoot we could have bought other countries to do the job for us for 1 trillion dollars and not lose our own children.
There is still a small percentage that says "stay the course" and i say FOr what? what reason could there be.
I know it is a mess but they think it will be better without us
they dont want us there
it isnt our job to build their country despite we destroyed it
it is our job to support them and protect their weakened country from take over and such
But why are we dying over there?
And why arent the hawks sacrificng anything?
The US has a volunteer army.
They chose to honorably serve in the military. You may not like the war, but it's their choice in the end and they (obviously) believe in serving in the military and serving in the conflicts that their commanders order them to.
They chose to serve, but that does not mean we do not have a responsibility to only put them into harms way when it is necessary. It also does not mean that we do not have a responsibility to stop any operations which unjustly put them into harms way.
In the context of my first two points, your comments appear to mean that we should not care about the lives of those in the military. You seem to be making the point that they signed up for this sort of thing so it is no skin off your back when they die for the wrong reason.
