it's so bright right now! I'm waking up in 2.5hrs to see it fade away and turn red.

It is fully on right now on the West Coast. Pretty sweet. The moon is dark mostly, with a red tinge. I took a few pictures, but they aren't great and I can't get one to show up with the eclipse at full. Oh well, it is still rather beautiful. Hopefully others will be enjoying it as well. Night!

I woke up at 5:30 (extra early) to photograph this event with my telephoto lens.

But dangit, where's that darn moon!?

I didn't take into account the fact we live on a hill to the west of us... and the moon is nearly just over the horizon at this time in the morning on the other side of it for a total eclipse to happen.... grr.
