I dont understand why you people support someone that has probably performend an illegal act
in my opinion young people should not be encouraged to break the law inorder to try and impress potential employers
If that young man applied to me for a job i would reject him if i had knowledge of his background ,far better to employ very clever young people that spend thier time prepared to be brilliant at work iether self employed or employed and reward them properly
Better that they earn very high salarys with great bonus for showing us thier brilliance constructively and legally

The kid is 17, its probably his summer break, and its very impressive that he was able to crack that code along with three others. Getting a job for being creative is a good thing, and a car with an 8 GB iPhone is a sweet reward.

Yeah, in response to #3, when I buy something, why can't I take it apart and make it work however I want? If I start ripping apart my computer so I can use, say, a different operating system then the one originally installed, am I suddently an evil doer?
There is consumer led innovation all the time - it's called the democratization of innovation. If I buy a particular product, alter it to meet my specific needs, perhaps I've just created a whole new aftermarket? Or, I've increased demand for the original product because it's now more functional for a particular customer subset. So, relax with this "performend (sic) an illegal act" mumbo jumbo. Show me a statute in the law that forbids this and then we can point to this being an illegal act - albeit a particularly creative and innovative one.

I think ,although not sure that this young man (who is obviously very clever ) would have been in breach of his purchase contract
The argument that i put forward is that if hackers are hailed as heros and then employed by large corporations as a result this encourages more hackers
Hackers and spammers cause all sorts of problems in our society and they should be niether condoned or cheered okay
It just an opinion blimey dont you lot get angry !!!!!
