Montel Williams' Talk Show to End

NEW YORK — Syndicated talk show host Montel Williams is being replaced by a younger version of himself. CBS Television Distribution announced Wednesday that "The Montel Williams Show" will cease production after this television season, his 17th on the air.

Instead, stations that carried his show will be offered a series of Williams reruns. "Best of Montel" will be 52 weeks worth of "some of the most exciting episodes" from the show's history, the producers said.

"I can't say thank you enough to those who've welcomed me into their homes for the past 17 years," Williams said. "It has been both an honor and a joy."

How stupid are some of the executives at these television stations. They get a show on that's a hit, that a lot of people love and enjoy seeing, and you morons go and cancel it or replace them. Shame on you. I just heard today that the Montel show was ending. It really saddened me. I thought maybe it was because of Montel's illness and new marriage and maybe he wanted to spend the rest of his life in peace and harmony and away from the limelight. I had no idea it was because they (management) wanted to replace him with someone younger. What stupidity!!! You types do this all the time. What a way to lose dedicated viewers.

I am very sadden to hear montel show has been cancel. I hope it does not has to do with his illness. I have watch his since it been on the air. I will definitely miss him. Thank you montel for your wisdom and your encouragement.
