The following recalls have been announced:

— International Foodsource Inc. is recalling a batch of its Sun Ripened Apricots because they contain undeclared sulfites, which could cause a severe or life-threatening reaction in people who have sulfite allergies. No illnesses have been reported, according to New York health authorities. The recalled apricots from the Dover, N.J., company come in a 12-ounce plastic container and have the best buy date of Sept. 9 this year. _About 49,000 Trek MT220 girls bicycles, manufactured in China and Taiwan and imported by Trek Bicycle Corp., because the frames can break during use. _About 5,500 transparent toy egg shakers, manufactured in China by West Music Co., because the end cap can detach, causing small beads to fall out. This poses a choking hazard for children. _New Era Canning Co. is recalling all vegetable products in institutional size, 6- to 7-pound number 10 cans, because they could be contaminated with the bacteria Clostridium botulinum. This can produce a toxin that causes botulism. Symptoms may include double or blurred vision, slurred speech, difficulty swallowing, muscle weakness and paralysis of breathing muscles possibly resulting in death. No products have tested positive for the botulism-causing toxin and no cases of botulism have been reported.
