Bush Says 2008 Politics No Factor in War

NASHVILLE — President Bush is serving notice that he's still running the Iraq war, and that he won't be influenced by what's happening in the race for his job.

Bush told a friendly audience in Nashville, Tenn., on Tuesday that "the politics of 2008 is not going to enter into my calculations." He said that troop levels in Iraq will be driven instead by "the peace of the year to come."

The president is seeking to frame the war on his terms as the five-year anniversary of the Iraq war approaches next week. He spoke to the convention of the National Religious Broadcasters, and plans other Iraq speeches in coming days.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

So, this means his Generals and Admirals won't have to retire ? He is now taking the blame, credit for running the WAR.. http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2003/iraq/forces/casualties/ , I know he's, The Decider, I hope it means he takes Accountability, for the lives he's taken.
