Clinton Camp Raps Obama Camp Over Photo

WASHINGTON — Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign criticized Barack Obama's campaign Friday for "peddling photos" of former President Clinton and Obama's longtime pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

A photograph of the former president and Wright shows the two shaking hands with at a White House prayer breakfast in September 1998. The New York Times posted the photo to its Web site on Thursday and said it was provided by the Obama campaign.

Excerpts of Wright's sermons have been the source of controversy for Obama in recent days. Videos of the former pastor railing against the United States and accusing the country of bringing on the Sept. 11 attacks by spreading terrorism have appeared on television and the Internet.

Obama strongly condemned Wright's most controversial statements in a speech on racial issues on Tuesday in Philadelphia. But he did not repudiate Wright or his overall ministry, saying the man who officiated at his wedding is like a family member.

"Less than 48 hours after giving a great speech calling for a high-minded conversation on race, the Obama campaign is peddling photos of an occasion when President Clinton shook hands with Rev. Wright, though President Clinton took tens of thousands of photos during his 8 years as president," said Clinton spokesman Jay Carson.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Is this what Obama calls new politics? As President you take pictures with many many people you may know very Little about. This compares little to the 20 years Obama was a close friend and confident, attended RevWright's sermons and acknowledge Rev Wright as his pastor ,adviser, role model, and mentor. Obviously this is a cheap shot to try to make a connection between Bill Clinton and Rev Wright.
Well I don't think anyone is dumb enough to fall for this one.

In the picture, Rev. Wright is not the only religious leader in the room. Also President Clinton did not sit through 20 years of anti-American and anti-white people sermons by Rev. Wright. I am sure President Clinton did not have a front row seat to these kind of rhetoric compared to Obama's position in the church. Rev. Wright was and is Obama's mentor.

If Wright were white and ate four meals a day he coulda been Jerry Farwell.

Actually Wright is no different than the masses of white Americans who claim the U.S is turnig socialist or who hate black men...or those who preach love and hate gays.

Wright also has survived years of civil rights protests and grew up in world full of hate for him and his community based on his skin color- at one point negroes were not allowed to use water fountains- is he allowed to be paranoid and have feelings of ill towards man?

      Yes.

He wouldn't be human if he wasn't.  Why should he have divine understanding maybe the teacher needs to learn. So go to hell to every person who needs an excuse to mask their fear and project their inner hated back on its victim. And for the record, Jesus wasn't Christian he was from the mid-east. Again you ignorant unlearned hypocrites Jesus was from the mid-east. You were taught to not cast stones and love thy neighbor-
