Wyoming Governor Back Obama

CHEYENNE — Wyoming Gov. Dave Freudenthal, a former Clinton administration appointee, announced Wednesday that he will support Illinois Sen. Barack Obama for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Freudenthal said he was impressed by the large, enthusiastic crowds that turned out to see Obama when he visited Wyoming ahead of last month's caucuses.

"They paid attention and were riveted and reactivated, and trying to be part of an America that's bigger than just their own self-interest," Freudenthal told The Associated Press. "And you hope that can work. Because something has got to dig us out of this morass that we've gotten into, where it's sort of gotcha politics."

Freudenthal is the second Western governor and former Clinton appointee to endorse Obama in recent weeks. New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, former energy secretary and UN ambassador under Clinton, announced his support for Obama two weeks ago.

Former Indiana Rep. Lee Hamilton, who was the top Democrat on the Sept. 11 Commission, also endorsed Obama on Wednesday.

As governor, Freudenthal is a superdelegate to the party's national convention this summer. In the close contest between Hillary Rodham Clinton and Obama, the superdelegates — elected officials and party leaders — could ultimately decide the Democratic nominee.

When both Obama and Hillary Clinton came to Wyoming, the governor spent time with each. Freudenthal said he had nothing negative to say about Hillary Clinton, but Obama struck him as "incredibly smart" and someone who gives honest answers instead of scripted responses.

The governor also said Obama gave him an honest answer about putting the Wyoming Range in western Wyoming off-limits to oil and gas drilling, something Freudenthal would like to see the U.S. Senate approve.

Former President Bill Clinton named Freudenthal U.S. attorney for Wyoming in 1994, a job Freudenthal held until 2001. He was elected governor in 2002 and re-elected in 2006.

This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey's endorsement of Senator Barack Obama should dampen the Rush Limbaugh effect in the Pennsylvania primary. Limbaugh appears to relish his ability to control the working class white male voting bloc to vote for Senator Hillary Clinton to keep the Democrats fighting which will benefit Senator John Mc Cain.

Limbaugh may have met his match with Senator Casey. Casey defeated an incumbent conservative right Republican Senator Rick Santorum which suggests that he may have much more trust amongst the voters of PA than Limbaugh can usurp. Furthermore, Casey will give the Obama campaign the white male anointing it needs in PA considering there is no white male remaining in the Democratic primary race. Governor Edward Rendell has already made it clear that some white people in PA may find it difficult voting for black candidates and he is currently giving the white male anointing to Senator Hillary Clinton.

My guess is Limbaugh may get defrocked by the Pennsylvania Democratic primary should a close vote between Obama and Clinton leave the delegate count more or less where it stands now. It is difficult not to see the Republican Party leadership not getting nervous with Limbaugh training their voters to vote Democratic in a state that elected both Democrats Casey and Rendell. The Limbaugh effect may cost the Republicans The White House should the Limbaugh DemoRepublicans view the economy more important than the vilification of liberal thinking in America.

This will matter because of Casey campaigning with Obama. Hopefully, that will bring people to the event with an open mind. We'll see if this dampens Clinton's lead.

Well why wouldn't Obama want it to end without allowing the remaining states to vote? He knows Rev. Wright sunk him. He can dance, sing, preach and whine all he wants, but he can't change the fact that he CHOSE Rev Wright as his spiritual guide; has been quoted hundreds of times stating that he relies on Wright to bring him back to the truth. The truth???? Can Obama actually believe that the U.S. Govt invented A.I.D.S. to kill black people??? Wright has preached this many, many, many times. My problem with ending the race now is that even if us liberals give Obama a free pass on this one, will the rest of America? I think not. Rev Wright consistently and repeatedly makes anti-Italian statements... mafioso, garlic-noses, etc. It is interesting that Wright grew up in Phila PA among many Italians. Surely he cannot think that Italians are the "white establishment" that is responsible for suppressing blacks?

Obama sat in the audience while Rev Wright on a video taped service pointed him out. Wright then went on to claim that Bill Clinton was not good to black people and that he was "riding dirty". Obama chose Hillary Clinton as his mentor when he was elected to the Senate and he worked with her daily. He knew that Bill Clinton worked tirelessly to get A.I.D.S. drugs to Africa and he knew about the Bill Clinton Foundation to bring money into Africa for economic development and infrastructure development; all from charity not from taxes. Yet Obama SAT THROUGH THAT SERVICE while the members hooped and hollared and Amen'd without raising an objection to the LIE that Wright was perpetrating. Nor did he condem it later. In fact, he claimed he did not hear them. (I guess while Wright was pointing at him, he must have been telling his daughters to sit still during the service, so he did not hear that part).

That to me is dishonesty. I cannot support a candidate like that. And I am not even Italian; just grew up in Allentown with lots of them as neighbors and good friends.

Is this how Bill Clinton was riding dirty?:

And just where did Obama come up with the idea that people could be "united regardless of color or political party or religion." Not from his mentor Wright; so could it be here (long video only for those who really want to know)

It is sort of creepy watching that video and then hearing Obama's speeches.

If you pastor said something during his sermon, would you stand up in front of the congregation and object to what he or she had said? I doubt it.

Since the video link above was deleted, you can go to You Tube and search "Bill Clinton Asks: What Will Your Commitment Be?" You will find the video.
