LONDON — Batman star Christian Bale was to be questioned by police over allegations he assaulted his mother and sister the night before the European premiere of his film, "The Dark Knight," British media reported Tuesday.
His mother and sister reportedly complained that the 34-year-old actor assaulted them at a west London hotel on Sunday.
Britain's Press Association said they made the allegation at a police station in south England on Monday and that the allegation was passed on to Scotland Yard in London. It said questioning was expected Tuesday.
When asked Tuesday about the news reports, Scotland Yard said it was investigating an allegation referred to it by another police force but refused to say whether the incident involved Bale.
The Sun newspaper said police did not question Bale on Monday because they did not want to interfere with the premiere.
Bale's U.S.-based representatives did not immediately return messages seeking comment. Phone calls to Bale's London representative were not unanswered.
Harvey Levin, how cool is that? Extra! Extra! Billy Bush is an extravert!
Is Christian Bale really a serious psycho? Or just another slightly crazy actor…?

Maybe he's an 'American Psycho'
Give the guy a break. He was locked in a Japanese internment camp as a kid.
No no, he was a Machinist and had some serious issues with weight loss and delirium...
You'd probably snap too if you were expected to lead humanity in an uprising against the machines. All that after having to defend against fire-breathing dragons.
I mean c'mon.
His mother and sister are most likely sense-offenders.
That or they tried to stop him from getting Russel Crow on that 3:10 to Yuma
well, time to cut the family off from the cash flow haha
I can only hope he wasn't wearing a Batman outfit at the time of the alleged assualt, otherwise it would ruin my adoration for this Superhero. And if this assualt turns out to be true, I hope Tobey Maguire beats his ass.
Damn.. and he seemed like such a normal, nice guy...
yeah, mother & sister were probably sense offenders.. *snicker*
Hope it's not true..
Did you see Amerian Psycho? Enough said....
What an interesting time for a complete vague and usless article totally devoid of journalism to bank on the current hype of the new Batman movie.
So his mom and sister might have told police he assaulted them....no details on just what they mean by "assault" there, and no context either.
It was apparently not so bad as to warrant actually going to talk to him about or anything, in case it was inconvenient during the day of the premiere, that's either a sign that the police don't consider it a very high priority, or a disturbing looking into how the police deal with celebrity crime....but without ANY details about it, it's impossible to say which it is...
