TAMPA — A second Florida man has been arrested on charges of making false 911 calls in as many days. An arrest report says 47-year-old Carlos Gutierrez was at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino early Monday and called 911 to say the slot machine stole his money. The report says Gutierrez left the casino to place a second 911 call to say the same thing.
He was arrested and charged with making a false 911 call. He's being held with no bail set.
On Sunday another man was arrested after calling 911 five times during an argument with his brother. He demanded that dispatchers send deputies to help sort things out.
And in northern Florida last week, a Jacksonville man called 911 to complain that a Subway left the sauce off a spicy Italian sandwich.
"Can you describe the suspect?"
"Well, it's about three feet high, glowing neon, with one large arm. It keeps yelling poorly written organ music at me."
"Help! I've been robbed by a one-armed bandit!"
Now I can definitely see calling 911 complain about the lack of sauce on a spicy Italian sandwich!
Caller: " The Hamburglar stole the sauce off of my spicey Italian sub!"
Caller: "Help! Help! Ohhh God NO!!! It's the Burger King! He's beating me......Stop ......Please no no no"
911 Dispatcher: "Sir please, calm down can you describe your attackers?"
Caller: (faintly moaning in the back ground....) please no Ronald put the spatula down, no no
Caller: (still moaning....) AHHH The Hot SPATULA aaHHH AAAAhhhh AAHHHHHHH
911 Dispatch: SIR! Help Is on the way! We are sending Batman and Sphincter Boy to rescue you!
Kam in Bama: " What king of fantasy land are these guys living in. That's borderline mental!"
Kam in Bama: " What king of fantasy land are these guys living in. That's borderline mental!"
It's called Florida.
Of course! Well now then this is perfectly ok, and I'm surprised we are not seeing more of it.
It's called Florida.
Hey!!! I....uhhhmmm.....well, OK.
You can't make this stuff up.
I can hardly wait for the election, someone will mistake the voting machine for a slot machine and call 911 to report a theft.
Bet these bogus 911 calls would stop if the caller was levied a $500 fine for each call.
