A look at the companies resulting from IAC's split

Internet conglomerate IAC/InterActiveCorp finished its split into five publicly traded companies on Thursday. Here is a look at what each of the companies will focus on:

— Ticketmaster. Sells entertainment event tickets. Based in West Hollywood, Calif.

— HSN Inc. Retailing through TV, Web, catalog and physical-store sales. Includes the HSN TV network and Cornerstone businesses. Based in St. Petersburg, Fla.

— Interval Leisure Group Inc. Operates a time-share business with two segments: Interval international and ResortQuest Hawaii. Based in Miami.

— Tree.com Inc. Operates a lending and real estate business, and includes the LendingTree brand. Based in Charlotte, N.C.

— IAC/InterActiveCorp. Includes the former conglomerate's remaining Internet properties, such as search engine Ask.com and invitation site Evite.
