Jamie-Lynn Sigler praises purple

Many stylish women worship the color black, but not Jamie-Lynn Sigler.

The 27-year-old actress, also known as Meadow from "The Sopranos," talked about her taste for bright clothing before taking in the Friday morning presentation of BCBG Max Azria's spring collection at New York Fashion Week, where she admired the colorful dresses that picked up on fall's hottest looks.

"We're still seeing color for the fall, which I like, because fall doesn't necessarily have to mean `dreary,'" she said. "It's not a mourning time. Fall for me is one of my favorite seasons — especially in New York. So I'd like to see still some color. I'm seeing a lot of purple, which I love — it's my favorite color."

Sigler said she's been a BCBG fan since she was a teen, and has learned what fashion trends and styles work best for her through trial and error.

"Sometimes we're a slave to the times and things that happen ... but once you get a little older, more experienced, sort of a little bit more seasoned, you come to just realize you want to just dress for yourself and what's going to be the most flattering on you," she said.

What's the worst fashion trend she's ever seen?

"Gosh, I don't know, fashion's cyclical, so I'm gonna keep my mouth shut! Because I could be wearing it a couple years from now," she said, smiling.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.
