Washington Mutual Inc. is a feisty, tinier competitor to big, conservative JPMorgan Chase. But after WaMu collapsed on Thursday, JPMorgan Chase is the new owner of its banking assets. Here's a look at the two companies, which combined will make the nation's second-biggest bank:

WaMu:

Headquarters: Seattle

Branches: 2,207

Locations: Big West Coast presence, with 688 branches in California and 105 branches in Oregon, where JPMorgan Chase has three and zero locations, respectively. Also large numbers in Florida and Texas.

JPMorgan Chase:

Headquarters: New York

Number of branches: 3,203

Locations: Large presence on the East Coast, especially in New York, New Jersey and many branches in Illinois and Texas.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Barack Obama isn't gay and hasn't had an abortion- so whats next, he is going to be labeled America's nicest rapist? I think not- he isn't even dirty enough to star in porn.
At any rate- I am sick of reading about toxic baby food and seeing imitation new wave music video's.
God, I hope this works- its no small change (the economic rescue package).
Nothing makes sense anymore- did anything change ?
