Quotes from Palin on Obama's ties to Wright, Ayers

advertisement

Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has continued but toned down her criticism Barack Obama's association with 1960s-era radical Bill Ayers and questioned the Democratic presidential candidates' relationship with Rev. Jeremiah Wright, an incendiary former pastor. GOP presidential contender John McCain has previously condemned the North Carolina Republican Party in April for an ad that featured Wright. Here are the Republicans' remarks on the subjects:

___

ON AYERS

_"Our opponent ... is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country." — Palin, to donors Saturday at a private airport in Englewood, Colo.

_"This is someone who sees America as 'imperfect enough' to work with a former domestic terrorist who targeted his own country." — Palin, at a rally Monday in Clearwater, Fla.

___

ON WRIGHT

_"To tell you the truth, Bill, I don't know why that association isn't discussed more, because those were appalling things that that pastor had said about our great country, and to have sat in the pews for 20 years and listened to that — with, I don't know, a sense of condoning it, I guess, because he didn't get up and leave — to me, that does say something about character. But, you know, I guess that would be a John McCain call on whether he wants to bring that up." Palin, in an interview with William Kristol, published Monday in The New York Times.

_"I'm making it very clear, as I have a couple of times in the past, that there's no place for that kind of campaigning, and the American people don't want it." — McCain, speaking to reporters on April 23 about the North Carolina GOP ad which called Obama "too extreme" because of his association with Wright.

The question for voters but especially white voters is how to decide which mans character flaw is worse. I say white voters because it is to white voters that the Republican Party is targeting their attack to and pinning their hopes for a negative interpretation of the association of Senator Obama with a old white man who admittedly did some crazy stuff when the white guy William Ayers was a young man. Or the degree that Senator Obama should be penalized for the rantings of his ex-pastor Reverend Wright. And beyond that any one from Senator Obama's past that the Republicans think are not the right type of People for Obama to have met in his life time.

Now on the other hand all people and voters of this country are going to have to make a judgement about John McCain and his past associations with Charles Keating and the SAVINGS and LOAN SCANDAL, which Senator McCain was a big part of and played a central role in a series of events that caused many older Americans to lose in many instances their entire life savings. That Savings and Loan Scandal was up till now was the largest banking scandal in American history. In the aftermath of this scandal Senator McCain's friend and Patriarch was convicted and sentenced to prison. While Senator McCain was censured by the Congress for the role he had played. In personally trying to prevent the investigation of his friend.

There has been numerous other instances in John McCain's long career where he has made controversial moves and votes where he has sided with the rich and powerful against ordinary every day Americans. One of which is when he voted to deprive elderly Americans of major medical insurance coverage, another is when he voted to prevent more children from getting insurance period. Senator John McCain has a long and very controversial record of siding against the needy while rewarding the rich and the greedy. I google McCain's record every day and other than his support for the wealthy he doesn't have what I call a single piece of "HUMAN" legislation to his credit. I mean in 26 years he hasn't sponsored a single bill that was designed to improve the lives of everyday ordinary Americans.

We as a people have a tremendously important decision to make November 4, 2008 ,and as I sit and write this article the Dow Jones has fell over 360 pts and it is below 10,000 for the first time in 4 years the worlds stock markets are in free fall. I don't know about you but I know what William Ayers did, or what Reverend Wright said did not cause nor is it going to fix the economic problems facing America and the world.

But there was something that happened in Senators McCain's past that affected the economic security of America then and that John McCain had a big role in creating the problem that confronts us now with his blind support for deregulation and the greed of the wealthy and powerful.

The stress from losing Michigan and falling behind in red states is pushing her(them) to extreme measures of tactital publicity ploys-

Any woman/person, or government official who uses terror to attack in the general public as means of subversion and marketing is definitley not in the kind of keeping the publics peace, or maintaining civil justice. Her use of terror as a public ploy details her lack social respect and her using fear as a bait to manipulate the masses is sign- that she cares very little of the publics safety, can and will resort to measures such as this in order to accomodate her own needs for power in the future.

She was shakey when she mentioned Frannie and Freddie in her interview with Katie Couric-is that because she was feeling threatened or was it that she pretended to have information or even an inkling to a relationship with Fran and Fred when in fact that subject matter is news to her. Sarah Palin spoke of Frannie and Freddie with an inflection in her voice of familiarity.

She is an actress of sorts-Maybe she could star in "All My Children" with her pregnant daughter who they lied about at first.

THERE'S MORE THAN JUST WM. AYRES.

It is the public’s obligation to our Country to write to the programming directors of ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN to report on the information regarding Barack Obama’s radical and terrorists associations. Obama is hiding this clear information and the mainstream media is helping this; for whatever reason.

The judgment of Barack Obama is not health for the United States of America. Just the fact that Obama is popular everywhere with exception of the USA - should tell us something. The USA will become a Socialist/Communist country, if Barack Obama is elected President. Please write to the mainstream media to demand that they do programs on the Truth of Barack Obama, for our country’s health.

OBAMA in fact, has been or still is the TRAINER for ACORN - the radical criminal organization which is known to register illegal voters. They currently are under investigation in several states.

OBAMA was also their LAWYER! The only people they register are for DEMOCRAT votes…and the people are not necessarily legal.

DON’T STOP WRITING TO THE MEDIA TO REPORT THE TRUTH FOR THE HEALTH OF AMERICA.

DON’T STOP WRITING TO THE FBI, THE FEDERAL ELECTION COMMISSION, YOUR CONGRESSMEN, ETC...

….UNLESS YOU WANT A SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST COUNTRY IN THE UNITED STATES.

GET THE WORD OUT….POST WHEREVER YOU CAN ABOUT OBAMA - THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA - SUPPORTING HIS RADICAL ASSOCIATIONS BY IGNORING THEM

The FANNIE MAE/FREDDIE MAC DISASTER was in fact, caused by the Democrat Congress. If you Google 2004 Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac hearings - you will see the actual video of the Congressional meetings when the regulators and Republican leaders brought forth their findings and presented a bill for passing to fix these enterprises because they saw disaster coming. The "Democrats" - stated that nothing was wrong and they ignored the cries of warnings. This is not to mention McCain's involvement in the formation of this reform bill that was voted out. This is not to mention Prs. Bush also warned Congress about this and tried to get this changed. IT IS THE DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS - who allowed this to happen. No doubt! And all of them have deep pockets because of it...and that is why they protected the way it was being managed. C. Dodd cooked those books - to show that Freddie and Fannie were reaching their target - so they could collect on their bonuses.

Do your research, and don't depend on what the mainstream media tells you - and the Obama camp. That's like the Jews listening to Hitler - when he told them to disrobe - walk into the shower to clean yourself - when in fact it was a massive gas chamber!

Sarah Palin just hates terror- and why is it that she clearly states in her speeched at the RNC and interviews with Glen Beck which she alsostates the war is about energy- she never states her claimof terror- al-Queda or the war in Afghan-

So why now is she scared of terrorists- and Barack who wants the troops home and the war to end.

p.s. Does she(Mrs.Palin) support big oil companies who raised the price of fuel per average consumer and earned 155 billion in 2007?

Lumping all republicans into one group and accusing an entire party is not just-being we are not frineds or communicate it would be difficult to substansiate assumptions. And to add, it is difficult to differentiate when the persons in the role of party representative(s) are shakey(Palin).

Just because I don't ike what Sarah Palin is doing and do not trust her judgement- doesn't detail more than words that you read(correct?). I actually do not have complete disdain for herself- or republicans(why would I?). I think the conservative rhetoric and nationalisms are full of manipulations. I chose Obama-Biden- I love Hillary Clinton and I wouldn't vote for her, because I don't trust her. So shove it-

My feeling is republicans are used by conservatives far too often- and just because my beliefs are hardcore democratic, doesn't segregate my thinking in or from conservative terms, or even respecting others beliefs and values- which are not my own.Thats the reason why an individuals rights are pertinent and protected by law- which is unfortunately up-to debate with some members in the republic. Good day, yo.

All I want to know is if she cant handle Katie Couric then how can she be expected to deal with Kim Jong Ill, Vladimir Putin, Ahmadinejad, Chavez, and especially Osama Bin Laden and Ayman Al Zawaheri the leaders of Al Queda. I really cant imagine which one of these foreign leaders is going to treat her like a little kid . I think that the refusal of the McCain Campaign to allow her to be interviewed by all the media not just TV but Radio and Newspapers is the clearest indication that she is not ready for prime time, not just the Republican propaganda and spin machine otherwise known as FOX NEWS and their in the tank reporters like Sean Hannity. And while she is always questioning Senator Obama and his foreign policy and Judgement my question is what about hers does she really have what it takes or is she really a low brow show pony.

There really isn't such a thing as a "quote" from Palin. Devoid of syntax, vocabulary, and narrative development, it is just a succession of sounds being produced to by vocal cords.

That is why she is not leadership material in any conceivable way.

McCain only hated gutter politics as long as he felt he was sure to win. Once it become clear that Barack was winning, he sold out his integrity (as usual) and now sends Palin out to smear and lie on his behalf. I think he so frustrated because he never thought he'd lose to a black man.
