— Life with David Hasselhoff wasn’t the Hollywood dream ex-wife Pamela Bach imagined it would be. In an interview with the UK’s Daily Mail, Pamela blamed the former “Baywatch” star’s battle with the bottle for tearing their marriage apart.
“Everybody thought (David) was the golden star in swimming trunks on the beach with Pamela Anderson, but the drink was taking over his life,” the actress revealed. “To me, he was the man who fell over on the bedroom floor.”
According to Pamela, David’s drinking problem and subsequent mood swings escalated over the years, and, although he attempted sobriety several times, he was never unable to break the hold alcohol had over him.
“He has a disease, just like cancer,” she said. “And just like cancer, it ate away at our family from the inside.”
In 2006 the David filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, but as far as his ex is concerned, alcohol was the real reason they went their separate ways.
“I always believed in happy Hollywood endings but our story doesn’t have one,” Pamela confessed. “We were both living a lie, but the biggest tragedy was that David loved the bottle more than me.”
Music manager has no interest in Ali Lohan
Recent reports hinting that acclaimed music manager Johnny Wright is interested in representing Lindsay Lohan’s singing sister, Ali, just aren’t true. In an emphatic statement to the contrary, Johnny’s company, Wright Entertainment Group, set the record straight.
“Johnny Wright has never met with Ali Lohan, has never been introduced to Ali Lohan, nor has he had a meeting with Ali or Dina Lohan regarding Ali's music career,” the statement, published in Page Six, read. “While he wishes Ali Lohan the best in all her endeavors, Mr. Wright has never had any intention of speaking with Ali Lohan regarding her career. Any story that has surfaced about such a meeting holds no merit and is completely false.”
In case that no-go wasn’t clear enough, the company added, “Wright Entertainment Group has never had any interest or intention of adding Ali Lohan as an artist on the company's roster, which currently includes Justin Timberlake, Jonas Brothers, Janet Jackson and Ciara amongst others."
Scientology offers to help Amy Winehouse
Embattled R&B chanteuse Amy Winehouse may follow in the footsteps of Tom Cruise and John Travolta in an effort to get her life back on track. The Daily Mirror reports the Church of Scientology recently reached out the “Rehab” singer with a “welcoming” offer of help.
“She had a call from the celebrity branch of the Church Of Scientology,” an Amy insider revealed to the paper. “They told her they wanted to help her beat drugs and could tailor-make a program so she wouldn’t have to go to a residential center.”
Amy’s said to be considering the offer, as it would allow her the freedom traditional rehab facilities lack, including the chance to spend time with her incarcerated husband, Blake Fielder-Civil.
Dish on the fly
When Angelina Jolie made her first red carpet appearance since giving birth to twins in July, she showed off more than her new post-baby body. According to In Touch magazine, the “Changeling” actress displayed two new additions to the growing list of longitude and latitude lines tattooed on her upper arm. Each entry represents the birthplace of one of her six children, so the latest lines represent the identical coordinates for Vivienne and Knox’s debut in Nice, France. … Despite persistent rumors to the contrary, Kim Kardashian insists she’s a natural beauty. “I HAVE NOT EVER HAD PLASTIC SURGERY!!!” the TV regular ranted on her blog. To back up her claim, Kim posted a photo from her teen days, wherein she sported the same nose, lips and extreme curves she’s known for now. As for the future, the “Keeping up with the Kardashians” star won’t rule out possible nips and tucks to come. “I am definitely not against it at all, but haven’t yet had it!”
