Scoop: Ed Norton says Brad Pitt can’t sing

— If you’ve heard rumors about a “Fight Club” musical with the music of Trent Reznor, don’t expect to see Brad Pitt or Edward Norton appear in any such production, according to a recent interview with Norton.

“This has been floating around for a while. I’ve seen different notions of it,” Norton told MTV in an interview. “I doubt it’ll be me and Brad (Pitt). I know Brad can’t sing. Reznor would be about the right vibe for it, I guess.”

After that enthusiastic endorsement of the project, Norton was asked about the possibility of fans seeing him in an “Incredible Hulk” sequel or whether he’d be in “The Avengers,” as rumored.

“I really actually have no information. I don’t know what the agenda is in the moment, but I’m sure you’ll find out more than me,” Norton said.

Katie Holmes’ tepid return to TV
That fall shows are having a tough time gaining traction or achieving impressive ratings success isn’t news at this point, but how bad is it? Not even Katie Holmes could make a noticeable difference in ratings when she made her big return to prime time television on ABC’s “Eli Stone.”

While Holmes’ appearance didn’t cause a frenzy the likes of Britney Spears’ appearance on “How I Met Your Mother,” she did soften the blow for the ratings decline expected from the second episode of “Stone.”

Most shows lose between 15 and 20 percent of viewers between the season premiere and their second episodes. Thanks in part to Holmes, “Stone” was down only 3 percent.

In other Holmes news, her Broadway show, “All My Sons,” is performing “solidly” according to an on-set source. “Truthfully, we weren’t totally sure what to expect, but she’s delivering consistently. We’re happy with that,” said the source.

DJ AM and Mandy Moore back together
Shortly after the plane crash that injured Travis Barker and killed four others, Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein, who also suffered injuries, was seen with former flame Mandy Moore.

The two, according to both Us Weekly and In Touch, are more than just friends, though. Sources tell both magazines that the accident has brought the couple back together.

“It’s back on,” a DJ AM source told Us Weekly. “Since the accident, it’s blossomed into something again. ... Mandy said, ‘I like this guy a lot and I want to see where it can go again. Life is too short to not be with someone you really care about.’”

In Touch describes the pair as “inseparable” since the September crash, and cite a recent appearance together at the Friendly House Awards Luncheon at the Beverly Hilton in L.A. on Oct. 18 as evidence the two have rekindled their  romance.

“They were enjoying each other’s company and sitting very close,” an onlooker at the event told In Touch.

Coco Arquette: ‘Unfortunately’ going to act
Given her parents are Courteney Cox and David Arquette, and her godmother is Jennifer Aniston, it’s only natural to wonder whether Coco, now 4, will become an actor herself.

When Life & Style caught up with the Arquettes, Courteney’s answer was, “Probably, unfortunately! She has a really strong personality; she’s a funny, quirky kid.”

David chimed in to say that he didn’t see comedy in Coco’s future. “Coco doesn’t like people laughing at her, so it should be drama,” he told the magazine.

Sorry but not even Katie Holmes can get me to watch another episode of Eli Stone.  And thank God we know now that Brad Pitt isn't perfect.

Maybe we should avoid referring to the ex-girlfriends of men suffering extensive burn damage as former "flames".

With Hasselback and Palin appearing together it sounds like a script that could be entitled, "Shared Ignorance."

Will the GOP be outfitting them in something special?  We haven't done the swim suit bit yet.

The only reason Elizabeth keeps supporting Palin and Bush in the face of such blatant reasons not to is for these invites.  When Bush was the lowest in the polls she was the only person that would go to the White House dinner for him.  Oh brother.  She's a political whore, on the loosers side.

She wants to stand with Palin now and chant - Obama is a terrorist, Obama is an Arab.  That's how smart Elizabeth is.  I don't know why they don't get rid of her on the view and get an intellegent Republican woman there.  There are a LOT out there, who we can respect.

Here are two beautiful women, who love their families, and whose families clearly love them. One of them is an entertainer on a successful (for reasons unknown to me-I've only watched clips and find it vacuous and annoying)) tv show, and the other is an accomplished governor. Both live by their worldview with integrity. I admire and respect them both. You can bash Governor Palin all you want, but it doesn't change the facts that she is a dignified, accomplished woman, and a great role model for young women in America. She is self made, and did not need any government programs to help her out. She stands for all that is great about America. If you can't see past the fact that she is an attractive, well dressed female, that would be your problem. In today's world, where the co dependent victim mentality is encouraged, sympathied with and quite frankly is flourishing out of control, Governor Palin is a breath of fresh air. Of course, so much of our society is divorced, gay, unhappy, stupid, lazy, and live lives of no purpose or value, that a a God fearing woman and her happy intact family are an anomaly. I believe that those who poke fun at her do so out of jealousy (because they were unable to make the right choices), and fear (that they might be wrong and she might be right.). An accomplished, happily married woman as an example of feminism? But she's not downtrodden at all! And she has achieved all she has done with no government handouts! You can try to discredit her, but a discerning heart sees her achievement for what it is.

"Oh...less than the cost of Michelle Obama's similar outfit and the lobster and caviar feast she just had at her exclusive hotel in New York."

That's how relevant that argument is.  Come ON.  Not sure I follow you.  Are you suggesting that conservative women are the only ones who buy extravagant clothing?  You don't think that liberal women spend that much on their wardrobes?  Get real.  Though what clothing has to do with anything, I'm sure I don't know.

Where did you get that BS from?  Wait, I know...Faux News.

It has been noted all over the legitimate media that the story turned out to be a complete fabrication.  Michelle Obama wasn't even in New York at the time the alleged incident occurred.  This is just another false claim by McCain supporters to get the heat off of Palin and how she is using campaign funds to "dress the part".  What they should have done is, spent the money sending her to a Sylvan Learning Center...at least they would have taught her exactly what a VP job entails!

Hasselbeck and Palin are sisters under the skin...both are Helium Heads.

Of course she did.  Neither one of them have a brain or can finish a sentence.  I am not sure that having elizabeth at a rally is going to help palin.  The republicans have no positive current endorsements.  The endorsements they do have are washed up generals and secretary of states.  The world has changed.

I've always thought "The View" was a brain dead show, and Hasselbeck, a little slow on the uptake--Hasselbeck and Palin together sounds like a good idea for a SNL skit.

The only good part about McCain winning would be 4 years of SNL skits making fun of Palin.  It's easy work for SNL, they only have to repeat what she actually says.

Interesting that a "comedy" show should be seen as so important. Governor Palin is a dignified accomplished woman, and much prettier than Tina Fey. I find  Fey's caricature of Governor Palin simply stupid. "Watch my pageant walk" and all of the other ridiculous cutsie pie coquettish behaviors - in all of her appearances, I have never seen Governor Palin anything but well spoken and dignified.  And the View is a silly show...I don't think any of those ladies have great political minds...yet they have been somehow elevated to a position of political importance, but they are part of the liberal media and perhaps that says it all! To all of  you kool aid drinkers that draw your conclusions based on tv and entertainment shows - well, any fool could name your candidate.

Hasselbeck is a firecracker and she has been given a hard time about her views for many weeks now. The last one I paid any attention to  was the debate about the "n" word. I felt sorry for her, I mean they would not let her have an opinion or anything. What a bunch of old strumpets.

Every body interrupts everyone on that show - Elizabether the most!... but she is the only one that sits there and cries like a baby if any one comes back on her.  It worked with Rosie, but she's going to have to grow up sometime and take responsibility for her own actions.  She can't take the heat, she needs to get out of the water.

I'm sure Elisabeth is a smart woman, but lately she has just seemed not only intolerant, but ignorant.  I don't think she's gaining many supporters with her extreme, right-wing, tunnel-vision, opinions.  I consider myself an independent so I may be wrong in this assumption, but I can't imagine too many Republicans agreeing with her head-in-the-sand view of politics.

I don't think that she's a great representative of conservative views, but HELLO, that's exactly why Barbara keeps her around.  Informed conservative women would eat Joy Behar - and Barbara for that matter - for lunch.  Joy's a loud mouth.  Fine.  If acting like that makes her think she's made an actual point.  There's nothing worse than a loud mouth who is uninformed.  If she could actually spout a fact that she researched on her own instead of inaccurate and not always politically relevant things she gleans from left-leaning blogs, I could bear it.  Wasn't she supposed to be the comic relief for the show?  This show isn't "The View."  It is the LIBERAL View.

Oh darn, someone already took the "Dumb and Dumber"! Ok, how 'bout "Blind leading the Blind?" Oh, what the he**, it doesn't matter. Apparently John thinks (assuming he really is the one in charge of his campaign,,,) one female on stage isn't quite enough! Or does he think the second one will magically garner the mythical "rest of the 'Hillary' vote? Ok, go ahead and jump all over me, ye female voters out there, my clear point is not just this one! Palin is a loon, period. Speaking as a Republican no longer, never again, not beginning during this election cycle either, but from'04, this party is one half propaganda they believe the uninformed and narrowminded lip service accepting public will unquestioningly swallow, and one half it's all about raping the Treasury and government for as much as they can, all in the name of Patriotism. Which is the first refuge of a scoundrel, per Ben Franklin. No Republican, not Palin, not MCcain, not Limbaugh, noone, has the authority, the morals, the right, to claim they are more patriotic than any other citizen, period, based on party affiliation. And when someone can show me in print in the Constitution which version of whos God any citizen must profess to, then I'll take note. This is not simple arrogance, this is a self deluded and self induced form of superiority. And not just ego. We have all seen clear examples of blatant McCarthyism, which should NEVER be tolerated in a free society at ANY time by ANYONE, else we as a nation once more sink once again into suspicion, friend implicating friend, family against family, with attempts to absolutely forego the rule and practice of law and civil freedoms. The current Republican Party would be a big hit in 1932 Berlin. Disagreement over foreign policy, domestic policy, economic policy, is what is supposed to happen in a free government, not who's to blame and who to be afraid of. Sound familiar? Berlin, 1932? Someone please tell Palin to go back to Alaska, face the music about to play there, and take her new Barbie twin with her. America should reject her in toto, with no reservation, no excuses, no amount of "Well, this is what I really meant to say " the next day. And the Republican party as it has so sunken to such dispicable depths.

And the Democratic party has presented America with a candidate, who freely paraphrases Karl Marx and looks down on the middle class, with a wife who just can't be proud of America unless her husband is a presidential candidate, and who attended a racist church for years, who pals around with terrorists, and makes friends with felons who will buy him a mansion...the Democratic party has sucnken to such despicable depths.

Hello! Sorry it took me a while to respond, been very busy among the Vines, and elsewhere.

I'll try sentence by sentense, but if I stray, it's only because I've had another rebuttal pop into my head, or I'm shaking my head, or just smiling, because I was once very nearly like you...then I had an ephiphany and started to research, really research, BOTH sides of any equation. Who ACTUALLY said what, where, and when, and the FULL contents therein, not just the headlines. For me, basing my personal opinions, particularly in a public forum, I felt among other emotions, I would be able to defend my positions from a standpoint of understanding both sides, and then making up my own mind, not by that of a commecial.

on to your sentences, and please, by all means, post back and tell me what you find, lets see how the sources campare, Senate records, personal testimony, video tapes, audio tapes, Navy records...that should be enough for a while...

one-what was McCains involvement in the Iran-Contra Affair? And with what organization? And who else was in there? Facts.

four, part one-racist church? You ever been there? Actually been inside one? I must continually be missing that part of the signs over the doors.....you tell me.

four, part two-What a McCains ties to Khalidi? Do you know? Or did that headline conveniently escape you? Facts.

LOVES his veterans! Proud of their service! Naming just two sources, maybe, just maybe, they will both carry some import with you.

The DAV-Disabled American Veterans-(I AM a life member, by the way, since 1972) hold McCain has one of the WORSE voting records in the Senate on veterans legislation. This organization gives him only a twenty percent approval rating on these votes. Facts.

United States Senate-the voting record the last twenty six years. Facts. More research.

All the above are headlines, true,  but all are verifiable beyond headlines. You have only but to try. But make an informed decision, then let the emotions and fear add some spice to your arguments. I promise you, you'll come across as an informed citizen able to substantiate their arguments with facts, not headlines, hyperbole, or hysteria.

Seems to me both sides have skeletons in the closets.....but then again, that's only if you knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

Although, I don't watch the View very often, I have never ceased to be amazed when I have, as to how a person as narrowminded or ignorant as Elizabeth has gotten as far as she has. She has a lot of growing up to do. She also needs to stop looking down that narrow tunnel that she calls an opinion and back up her statement's with facts and not emotions. Not once has she mentioned the bad things about McCain and Palin, but she will pick on the few negatives about the other candidates. Her and Palin....lol...Palin will eat her alive!

in what way are they 'good ladies'?  WAKE UP!!  Two project runway wannabes with the combined brains of a pineapple.  That's fine for reality TV.  NOT to run the nation for Chrissakes.

Give me a break, leave them alone, they are both annoying and EH is the biggest pain in the ass I have ever seen. I truly used to like EH and wanted her on The View but the past couple of years she has become the most loud mouth idiot and every time she opens her mouth she makes a fool out of herself. She probably thinks that her being with ditz Palin this weekend will get the vote, yeah right, two idiots together. Scary.

How can you call one of the most successful governors in the country a "ditz?" I agree that Tina Fey's portrayal of her is one of a ditz, but that is satire. Governor Palin has maintained a great sense of dignity and poise, has remained well spoken and a great patriotic American in the face of ignorant criticism, like yours, from left wing media. If the Messiah wins the election, it will be a mainstream (or you could just say "mediocre") media victory. I admire her so much - a woman of integrity and courage, a woman who upset her own party in her own state, with a loving and supportive intact family and a woman who above all, lives by her beliefs. Scary, isn't she, to all those who want to live an "anything goes" life.

Oh yeah I'm really going to vote for someone John Cougar Mellencamp endorses.....PLUUUUEEEEEEZZZZZ!!! If you base your decision on how you vote because some pop/movie star supports them, then you deserve who you elect. Why not READ various periodicals; listen to them speak, and research their backgrounds?...then make an informed decsion. Make your own decisions...don't let the media or someone who happens to be famous dictate who you vote for. I'm not saying it has to be Republican, Democrat, Independent, or Green Party, etc; ...just think for yourself and vote for the person that you feel would make the best president.

I'm not an Obama or McCain supporter, but, I am impressed over the furor that Hasselbeck's attending a Palin rally but everyone accepts Barb Streisand singing her little heart out for Obama along with Oprah, John Cusack, Bette Midler, and so many other "celebrities."  One of my biggest criteria for "NOT VOTING FOR A CANDIDATE" is if celebrities support them.  Right or left.  Rep or Dem.
They all need to go back to their weekly award shows and gush about how much they "really" appreciate another award.

Well said, John.  The way Hollywood votes is not the way to go. Who cares what these overpaid narcisstic celebreties think? Although, I am more carefull about what shows I watch or movies I see...I don't like to think my money has been diverted to causes I don't support...so I appreciate them being so "out there" with their hatred of McCain/Palin and their reverent support of their " Messiah."

The thing speaks for itself:  The GOP is looking to Elizabeth Hasselbach for help??  God in Heaven.  Here's the deal.  John is dying from the exacerbations of his malignant melanoma.  They are propping him up backstage BIG TIME.  Just look at him!  His left eye is barely open and he can't even button his top shirt button from the massive lymphedma.  Ask ANYONE who works in oncology about his appearance:  I don't like to be the grim  reapers but he is TOAST!  Sarah is brain dead but her handlers see their opportunity now to fully control our nation.  They will be sure to get it once John buys the farm.  Sarah is the new Katherine Harris.  These new Repugnicans will surround her (they have already done this) and use her Project Runway/Baby Alive puppet to control the nation from the shadows. She can't think for herself without the training of handlers day in and day out.  When unscripted she makes NO SENSE.  The person who truly runs things is NEVER the person we cast our vote for.  NEVER.

How can you call the most successful Governor in America brain dead? She fought corruption in her own party and won!  Are you brain dead? Just listen to Joe Biden and his gaffes! Does he have residual brain damage from his brain surgeries? When is the next anyuerism going to burst? And Obama is a smoker - a black man who smokes has a much shorter lifespan that one who does not. And is he going to fight corruption in his party? He is already knee deep in sweetheart mortgage deals and the Democrats are the lifeblood of Acorn and Freddie and Fannie!I saw John McCain in Denver last month, and except for his war injuries which inhibit his movements, he is healthy and hearty in appearance. But by all means, if you make your decisions based on Bruce and Barbra and their friends who have equally great political minds, vote for the Messiah. Then, you'll be required to think even less, the government will do it all for you.

They don't need ALL the help they can get and that is why Palin invited ditz to the campaign this weekend, what a big mistake for them. Obama and Biden can do it on their own or with no help from The View but McCain and Palin need votes and they think EH can do it, ha ha.

I noticed that The View isn't even taking anymore email because they can't face the fact that so many people cannot stand EH so they don't want to hear it anymore. They better start listening to the public or EH is going to bring this show to an end with her big mouth. I wish she would go to Alaska with Palin after the election and stay there. I wonder if EH is going to bring her children to the campaign this weekend, she thinks so highly of Palin for dragging her baby everywhere so who knows.

Has it occurred to you that the View may have stopped taking emails due to an overwhelmingly negative response to their skewed liberal programming?
