TON - If Barack Obama goes on to win the election, there will be plenty of ink and video spent on chronicling the historic nature of the turnout among young voters and African-Americans.
But as important as both constituencies have been to Obama — particularly in the primaries — it's Hispanics that could be putting him over the top on Nov. 4.
Obama's dominance among Hispanics in the West is proving to be the difference maker in Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico. In addition, the increased numbers of non-Cuban Hispanics in Florida, as well as the growing Hispanic population in North Carolina and Virginia, could be the tipping voting group in those three states.
So how did this happen? When this general election began, there were three pieces of evidence cited to develop the conventional wisdom that Obama would under-perform with Hispanics:
As it turns out, Clinton won the demographic because she courted them heavily and used Bill Clinton to campaign as a familiar advocate for Hispanics.
As for McCain, despite his best efforts (as well as that of President Bush and Karl Rove), the Republican brand has been tainted, potential for the long-term, due to the negative tone of the immigration debate that took place on conservative talk radio and in the presidential primaries.
In fact, McCain's immigration stance was so damaging that it is what nearly derailed his candidacy in mid-2007, not Iraq as the campaign sometimes likes to claim.
McCain ended up backing off a bit on his immigration stance. And to many Hispanics, it may have looked like McCain chose his party over his convictions on the issue.
As for Hispanics' willingness to vote for African-Americans, this was about as tested of a premise as the so-called "Bradley effect." Too many analysts went with their gut or with one example in one big city, rather than truly examining whether there was prejudice between Hispanics and blacks.
So here's what we know, Obama has held a strong lead among Hispanics for weeks. In our NBC/Wall Street Journal poll, we've been oversampling Hispanic voters all year so we could track this important demographic.
For weeks, Obama's been at 65 percent and McCain's hovered around 30 percent. If Obama nabs just 62 percent or better of Hispanics, he'll surpass the Gore total from 2000. And right now, he seems virtually assured of that.
Anything 65 percent or above for Obama probably locks in the three western battlegrounds of Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico, narrowing McCain's path to 270 that much more.
Could McCain have changed this? On paper, the answer is yes but in reality, maybe not. While the Arizona senator was careful to trumpet his immigration stance to Hispanic audiences, he rarely talked about it in other venues for fear of raising the ire of conservatives who had been riled up on the issue by talk radio.
McCain already has been down this road once before; He didn't want to do it again. But, long term, the GOP really does have a growth issue. As Karl Rove preached in 2006, the GOP cannot afford to start losing Hispanics by the margins they lose blacks.
In fact, take out Cubans and George Bush's over-performance among Texas Hispanics, and Obama could be getting close to making Hispanics — more or less — a base Democratic voting group.
The long term consequences of this Hispanic problem for the GOP isn't just about this electoral map, it's about its future in a number of states, most importantly Texas. At a 65-30 clip among Hispanics, or potentially a 70-30 ratio of winning Hispanics, Democrats could start to see Texas within reach by 2016.
There's no easy solution for Republicans. Wooing Hispanics is going to start with simply looking less scornful of immigrants. McCain never acted or looked scornfully at illegal immigrants, but the perception among Hispanics is that his party has.
In addition, the real opening for the GOP with Hispanics won't be with culture issues (though a few inside the GOP insist this is the case). The real opening for the GOP is with the party's rhetoric on small businesses. If the party can go back to being the party of small business and the party of the entrepreneur (which it isn't right now) then they should find themselves back in the game.
But as long as the party is painted as hostile to Hispanics, they are unlikely to listen to other GOP policies with which they might agree, like taxes and abortion.
Conservative talk radio is rabid anti-immigrant, which damages McCain's chances with Latinos.
Conservative talk radio indeed goes over the line a lot, but calling them anti-immigrant is wrong. Even Limbaugh has pointed out that he is not anti-immigrant but anti-ILLEGAL ALIEN. This continual blasting of anyone who thinks that immigrants should take the same route as most of our ancestors did and immigrate legally as somehow anti-immigrant is just plain old propaganda. We are a nation of legal immigrants and there is nothing wrong with wanting to keep it that way.
Thats exactly RIGHT. Anti-illegal alien. We have a system for immigration for a reason. It only hurts the TRUE Rights of Immigrants that want to do things what we like to call the RIGHT WAY.
i bet you still dont like legal immigrants.
It Proves that really ANYONE can get elected if the NEWS MEDIA Decides Your the one for the Job. Even Charlie Tuna can vote in Ohio. Im not sure if he is real or not. Nobody here wants to cross check and find out.
Capitalism is the freedom to make YOUR OWN CHOICES. Socialism is the Govenment telling you WHATS BEST FOR YOU! I want to make my OWN choices in life. NOT have my UNCLE SAM telling me how much is to much, what my house should be, what Doctor I can see, etc.
I guess that your sole motive at this point is to plaster this thread with your wacked-out views and some lies (like fish that vote), instead of engaging in a thoughtful discussion on the subject of the article.
Capitalism is what got our country in a $840 billion plus economic hole. Deregulation has been the gasoline on this fire. Social institutions have been in place predominately since the last great depression. Social Security, Medicare, etc. our postal system is socialized and so are most of our schools....are you confusing socialism with communism? Uncle Sam used to tell you that regardless of your income you have a right to an free standardized education, do you wish to see the public school system abolished? Yeah, that's what we need, a little more "dumbing down"....
I don't know how old you are, if you fortunate enough to have a good amount of money put away for retirement( that is not lost in the stock market)...but if you are one of the people who are going to claim your Social Security, how can you complain when someone else does?
Capitalism left unchecked as it has been for the past eight years breeds corruption and greed! Paul you sound just like a talking point for Fox news or Rush Limbaugh FEAR FEAR FEAR FEAR!
I remember when I was in Iraq we took down the minister of misinformation, it appears you are the American equivalent.
Obama/Biden 08
Let Uncle Joe Stalin.... I mean Obama take care of you from cradle to grave because your not capable of taking care of yourself or your family. If you don't like how he takes care of you that will just be too bad because it will be too late to change it.
Living a "Red State" I can tell you that it is true some Hispanics wil vote Republican ONLY because of the Pro-Life Issue. But you know i had a discussion I with a Hispanic Voter whom I had called to "GET OUT THE VOTE". I asked him whether the Hispanics in Florida were favoring the Republicans? His answer to me was "Que Pendejos" if they do what has the Republican Party every done for the Hispanos of this country ? And with their Conservatve Stance on Immigration and McCain giving into the Conservative Base on immigration what makes them think he will do anything different if he gets elected.
Seritorius, as for ALL Blacks and Hispanics being enemies you are wrong. You are talking about gangs. Just like the white supremacists. Those groups of people only instill hate. There are many of us of various hues of brown, white and black that get along and believe in Barrack Obama.
Chuck Todd....your dead former boss is rolling over in his grave at your lack of objectivity. Every article the guy writes stinks of BO's cologne. I understand that BO is and has been leading in the polls. What is clear is that Todd enjoys it and wants it to be so. Objective journalism died with Tim Russert. RIP
An Arizonian who is involved in politics can say to this: Don't think so. We stand with the Native Americans NO OBAMA.
Who cites ABC, NBC, CNN, or NBC/MSNBC is wasting time. They are such a distortion to what is REALLY GOING ON IN THIS COUNTRY.
My God, look at the top of the page with nobama's ad running every day. wonder who sponsers newsvine? no obama, ever.
Hey how come Obama is within 4 points of McCain in Arizona does he still live there or in one of his other houses? BTW does that domestic terrorist still live there? Keating I mean
Logdump your a trip... you equate the murder and bombing of american people at their jobs with fraud. Keating went to jail where he belonged. Clinton pardoned the Weather Underground people. Those terrorists are no different than the KKK blowing up black churches. The whole bunch should be sharing space with Tim McVey where ever he went. The passage of time does not lessen the crime. Setting off bombs in the United States and killing people should not be made light of or compared to ANY economic crime. Not now, not ever.
LATINOS FOR McCain!!!! VIVA EL McCain!!!!
Viva McCain vote McCain Viva McCain!
yeah viva old mcCain for at least another 2 years. poor old man.
This is one Hispanic who has already voted for McCain. I did not vote for Obama, not because he is black but because he is a socialist. Small business owners don't need higher taxes and that is what Obama is promising. He has also vowed to confiscate all guns and imprison anyone who defends his home against a black burglar. He needs to go back to Kenya.
Worky, you are a class act.
What a shame that you bought into the lies completely -- the whole "socialist," NRA-packaged bundle of lies. I hope that you have the chance to learn the truth someday.
Worky...You cannot be for real...you just bet your last dollar on Obama making it illegal to eer ever defend your self agains a person of color...That is sure in teh cards and he probably got the idea in a dream when he visited Kenya...do't ya think? You betcha! I urge you to try reading.. a little history, soem of the articles on MSN on the net....Worky...your views are a little wacky...it seems sad you can be so badly informed...Have you tried to read?
Mr. Worky....I have the inside track as I am a delegate for Mr. Obama and a platform committee member.
The issue that people want addressed, and the platforms have passed through my hands are the platforms that Mr. Obama is running on.
First....the Restoration of the Bill of Rights....the first ten amendments to the Constitution. Because the constitution has been shredded almost beyond recognition, we see to restore the wisdom of those that wrote it.
Second....I live on land that I hunt. We shoot a deer every year for our food. Mr. Obama DOES NOT want to take away our guns...he wants to take away armor peircing bullets and uzis...I would NEVER support someone who would take food off my table.
I'm sorry you were misinformed, but I am clearing this up for you now....one more very important thing. If Mr. Obama does not address the platforms we have in good faith provided to him, we will be first in line to have him removed from office.
I have a 22 long barrel, a 10g. single, and a 444 Marlin lever with scope, I also have a little 22 Sat. nite special. I can't think of anything I need to do with a gun, that I can't do with one of these. Mr. Obama wants to take the AK47's and such off the streets.....
BTWMr. Obama was born in Hawaii....
Worky.... YAAAAWWWWNNNNNN
Nice try. Speaking of mental healthcare....
I voted for McCain too Worky. When they don't agree with you.. they will just call you names. Look what happened to Joe the Plumber for asking a simple question. As for where Obama was born... who knows... his lawyers would not produce his birth certificate in court but went to the expense of filing to have the case thrown out of court instead of simply producing a piece of paper. What worries me most is that a federal judge has ruled that a voter does not have the right under the US Constituion to bring a suit questioning the credentials of anyone running for federal office. That a voter is too insignificant. You may think its great because you back Obama... but what if you don't like the next guy that hides his origin or whatever.
Hey Pam,
I'm not Worky, but I live and hunt on my land also and I don't brag about my weapons, try that crap on me!
Mr. Worky: you need to go back home to idiot!
Jim Said: "I voted for McCain too Worky. When they don't agree with you.. they will just call you names."
Whatever names have been said are b/c some of you posters demonstrate a lot of ignorance to some of the worst spread gossips about Obama. If the majority of you losers who post incredulous lies about a candidate did the research yourself, you would probably not latch on to mother goose tales. And this goes for both sides.
"Look what happened to Joe the Plumber for asking a simple question. "
He wasn't a plumber or a small business owner and I respected Obama for actually taking this poser serious and answering his question, even though I suspect "Joe" wasnt being genuine with his question to begin with. Again, he was a registered Republican who went out of his way to get to Obama and what Obama said was "spread the wealth." I hate to break it to you and many others here who misconstrue that statement as a new concept. Regan started Earned Income Credit (take from wealthy, to give to poor) and SS tax, etc... are all examples of these "socialist" tags that Obama seems to be getting ripped on by the Republican Party. It is a mute point.
"As for where Obama was born... who knows... his lawyers would not produce his birth certificate in court but went to the expense of filing to have the case thrown out of court instead of simply producing a piece of paper. "WHO KNOWS?
That is my point. If you DONT know, then keep your garbage to yourself. As an independent, nothing irks me more than when individuals like yourself perpetuate rumors and will take another similar perspective as truth when you could have researched it and debunked the rumor. It has been documented by non-partisan sites as being false and his birth certificate is authenticated by Hawaii. You may want to go touch it yourself, since I am more than positive you are still questioning it.
Mr worky dorky It's so many of yall your vote won't be missed anyway.
JOGREE you are 100% ACCURATE in your assessment. Mr. Todd is bidding to become Obama's Press Secretary.....and let's hope that does not happen!
i am a hispanic, i do not buy that, because obama will not do anything for migrants he does not have the cojo__— to do it. and the cubans in miami, we rule whether you like it or not. sorry todd. you are a demagogue
oh look another article by Chuck Obama....
Are the Hispanics legal to vote...HAHA
Yes and some like the ones born in Puerto Rico are born citizen for your information not everyone who speaks Spanish is illegal stupid. There are man generations of Hispanic in this country do you homework before you open you ignorant mouth.
Many Hispanics were here centuries before your ancestors ever set foot off the boat. HAHA
We have huge numbers of legal Hispanics in this country and I for one salute each and every one of them. I am not, however, in favor of illegal immigration. The simple method of controlling illegal immigration is not to round people up but to simply arrest employers that hire illegal immigrants. If we need the workers then we can provide work permits, collect taxes and let those we need into the country to work legally and not be taken advantage of because they cannot complain to authorities if they are illegals.
Another obama statement, Take Away the Guns. Only guns that are single shot, have a 36 inch barrel etc, WOW We wont be able to Cling to Our Guns And Bibles anymore.
When obama said that, I lost all respect for him. How dare him to demoralize me and most of this country by saying I cling to my guns and Bible. I bet he owns guns and he needs to get a new bible, one not SIGNED BY REV WRONG
If you are worried about defending your home, a single shot is all it takes....provided you know the business end of a gun. : )
I am proud to cling to my Bible and my gun. Obama can say whatever he wants about that. If simply shows where Obama's heart is.
I don't need welfare, free housing, free medical care or a hand out like most people will get used to if ho bama is elected. I need a job that pay wells not cheap labor like most hispanics or use too. that's why i'm voting REP.
We had planked Mr. Obama to provide new jobs and national exports through the developement of technology. We have become such a consumer based economy, we forget we used to be the standard for invention....solar, wind and geothermal energy will provide so many jobs, and once again we will be able to see ourselves as a "developing " nation.
The oil industry will not longer control the auto industry once we resurrect buried plans for alternative (NOT CORN) fuel....and we can hold onto our reserves when we are not too busy making the oil industrialists rich. I believe if we elect Mr. McCain, we will have a 3rd term of Bush.....Drill baby drill.
It is interesting to note that Obama received more from EXXON than McCain did.
Bull, Bull, Bull Todd, Obama is winning without the Hispanic vote, just like he won in the general election without them, remember the Hispanics voted for Hillary Clinton 2 to 1 not for Obama. Hispanics get no credit for possibly putting the first Black American in the top office.
I am a Black American and if anyone should be given the credit it should be White America for voting for Obama. White America cannot be falsely accused of voting for Obama (as we are)because he is Black, they are seen as voting for him because they believe he is going to make a change, therefore, the majority of White America who is voting is looking passed his skin color, something they have had issues with for centuries, and Obama has millions of White voters.
Don't get me wrong, Black Americans also believe Obama is the better candidate but we don't have to work at looking passed his skin color to give him the opportunity and it is a given that we should also get the credit for putting him in the white house, never before has so many Black Americans registered to vote.
Mock my word, because of this article the Hispanics are going to start saying 'Obama cannot win the white house without their vote" and if Obama wins, they are going to start bragging the it is because of them" NOT, NOT, NOT.
No he wins because we are all United :) All Colors All Nationalities together the way God meant it to be :)
No, we should be all united, but we are not, it is evidenced by this election, being such a big deal not because a capable and qulified American is running but beacuse a Black American is running and not only running but winning.
It's only when we can face our problems that we can fix them.
We cannot unite when Obama has a corrupt campaign that encourages voter fraud and fund raising fraud. His campaign is over run with campaign fund violations and illegal foreign contributions. He is a very talented and gifted speaker. He could do well without resorting to illegal activities but he hasn't. He is just one more in a long line of corrupt politicians.
Nice try, its was the RNC that just admitted to voter caging in MI, a week after McCain pulled out of that state.
It is the republicans that have been purging voter rolls.
The acorn thing was a smoke screen.
Both sides play dirty politics, remember Obama is just a man not the savior. Nobody has a more shameful past than Chicago and corrupt politics.
Hey Linda! Even animals know to stay with there own species, you moron ,how many crossbred birds have you seen?Bears?any animal?Yes that's correct,0, the animals have enough sense to breed within they're species, why are humans so stupid
McCain/Palin/2oo8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In your wet dreams baby :)
Stay outta my dreams Linda... your ruining them.
LOL
Chuck,
You made a point of saying the Cubans are the hispanics that won't vote for Obama. Does this maybe tell you something ?? The Cubans learned the lesson from Fidel and how he promised "CHANGE". We can all see how that turned out !!! That's why a few million Cubans ended up in Miami, because of that "CHANGE". They are a hard working community that doesn't want "wealth redistribution". They came here in hopes of achieving the American dream and most, including my parents, have achieved that goal. Maybe the Cubans already went through something other hispanic groups haven't expereinced. COMMUNISM............
Most hispanics in my neighborhood of Florida, (about 25% of the population)are not affected by the color of a persons skin. Many are from South America, have college degrees, and are treated poorly by the State Government. They understand predjudice very well. They are very concerned with Bush's messed up Immigration policies. They are very intelligent people. They will vote with the candidate that they trust and has addressed improvement to the existing immigration policies and laws. We have a fairly large population of citizens that immigrated here from other countries and have similar concerns. If I were John and Sarah I don't think I would be holding my breath for their vote.
Muy Bien Dicho
Well said!
Brian 371707 you forgot one thing...Bush did not, or does not have a immigration policy. Maybe you can state one thing Bush did on immigration....I am waiting on your reply...and I am not holding my breath. Nobody has an immigration policy! When is the last time it's even been brought up?
You are not from a border state are you my friend, or one with a significant immigrant population. George is building a 9 billion dollar fence to start out with. He has selected preferred countries and agreed to quotas. I don't have time to write it all here. And you are right he has little other than build a huge fence.
Bush does not have messed up immagration policies, he did not make the policies it was our forefathers and the policies of the United States are fair and work for those who are educated and are here legally.
jh,
The absence of a policy is itself a policy when one consciously ignores a pressing public issue. And spending billions on a wall is a policy, too.
My point exactly JPF
A wall is a deterent...not a policy. You are incorrect .... I am from a border state and also have residence in South Florida.
I did not hear or can not find any policy changes Obama would bring to the table table that differs from McCain....can you?
jh,
I live in a border state, too -- the one with the longest border with Mexico, and a long coastline, too. And calling a wall that costs billions of taxpayer dollars a "deterent" rather than a policy, or a manifestation of policy, is disingenuous.
Go to the Latin American country's there is no prejudice because of color and we call ourselves civilized.
The United States has had an immigration quota system in place for decades. Well before even Jimmy Carter. So it is not a Bush plan at all. It was put in place to allow immigrants from many countries to come here and not all from just a single country or ethnic group. It has worked pretty well in that respect. If you want open borders you would not like the result very much I don't think.
I would like to know from what list most of these polls come from. I would like to ask all Hispanics and non-Hispanics that has been to the Obanma rallies in New Mexico why they went. First off, Obama comes in with George Lopez, I don't have anything against George Lopez but I can gurantee you most went there to see George aand not Obama, that's regardless of race. I see Obama using star power such Oprah. Then there is Govornor Richardson who while on campaigning in the primary explained all the reasons why nobody should vote for Obama, and what does he do as soon as he thinks he can be VP. He walks around after him like a puppy dog, a man with that much experience should not be groveling. Peronally most of the people I talk with are going to vote for Obama for several reasons.
Very few can actually try to explain how Obama's "tax cut" works Or McCains. Most can only say that they are going to tax the rich and give to the poor in Obama's case and not raise taxes in McCains case.
A big number of people are sold on the media, Obama has that covered now but if McCain had it covered they would vote for him. It's like a burger, the better it's advertised the better it must taste.
It's not as simple as advertising, Charlie, and thank God for that.
You are missing one very important point. "Americans can think" therefore we are mentally and emotionally exhausted over the present situations which Bush, Bush and Clinton got us into and McCain has been present for all of them but has not tried to get us out of any of this mess.
Only now that he is running for President he is pretending he cares about the issues.
What I believe messed his chances up with the public is his poor choice of Sarah Palin, face it, she knows nothing about what she should know something about that being politics.
I am not missing any points, I know Americans can think. What I am saying is that as you can see by many of the posts on all of this forums is that some people are voting blindly on party affiliation, some are beligerent and some are down right rude. Many can't even post with out insulting someone, and some keep are just repeating biased opinions that don't even began to make sense.
Seriously, how many here think that any one of the candidates is out to intentionally hurt the nation?
How do you know that anyone is pretending to care about issues, McCain or Obama? Do you have an insght that the rest of us don't? I doubt it.
As far as Sarah Palin is concerned, has any one trashing her really taken an depth study on what she really knows or is everyone playing bash the VP game. If she isn't qualified enough said, enough with the name calling and disgraceful behavior, We are Americans, how low must one go to make a point or in this case to get noticed.
Looking at some of the posts here it is obvious that manners and self control are issues that need to be looked at in America.
Charlie: do you realy think that 45,000 people went to see George Lopez here in New Mexico and not Obama? I was planing to go but when someone told me the amount of people going I decided to go home. I worked until 6pm that day and many people that were planing to go did the same, the rally ended later than 9pm.
If you think Obama is nothing but a typical politician, you're in for a rude awakening. He tells everyone, including hispanics, what they want to hear--- he's an empty suit looking for votes, and if that were all, it wouldn't be that bad.
The direction Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Reid, a liberal media, and a liberal Supreme Court will take us; will take 10-20 years to recover from.
As for media-types like Todd, besides their own liberal bias, they see Obama as the big news event that they don't want to miss out on.
As for the country, we'll get what we deserve; a terrible economy, weak military, diplomatic appeasement, protectionism, socialism, quick exit from the middle east, restrictions on free speech, restrictions on guns, complete unionization of workers, nationalization of industries, more government buyouts, and so much political correctness and environmental protectionism that not only will we not be able to compete globally, we won’t be able question anything, and we'll be spending all our time in court.
McCain is a much better choice.
He wants to rebuild the economy and increase jobs the right way, through small and large businesses by reducing capital gains tax, corporate tax, increased standard deductions, and other tax incentives.
His health care plan, the $5000 credit and open markets, will ultimately drive down prices because it’s based on competition. When the government runs stuff, there is no competition, there’s higher cost, and poorer service.
Also, McCain’s military and foreign policy experience and his judgment will keep us safer.
If enough voters fall for Obama’s slick talk, we’ll all get what we deserve--- don’t let it happen.
Vote McCain/Palin.
Too Bad! It is still McCain/Palin/2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The problem in this country is that the MEDIA has a tremendous influence in deciding who our next president should be, as a life long Democrat who will be voting Republican this year saw for the first time that the media DRANK the Obama KOOL-AID from day one, nothing matter more to them than electing a black president. A socialist black president made it even better.
No one is more of a Socialist then McCain.
The Republican Party has done more to promote Socialism then any other party
They have given Welfare to the Big Corporations, Oil Companies , Wealthy and Lobbyist for 8 years now. If you know the meaning of Socialism you would know that it constituted under the terms that they ran Washington. Taking from the Middle and giving to the Corporations and Wealthy is an example of a Socialist Government.
Remember McCain signed the Mother of all Social Programs in History "The Bail Out "
that would make McCain a Socialist honey. Your quite the bigot Moreno even though your name means Black.
Wrong, the media cannot think for you nor can they vote for you. People are voting on the issues and who they THINK at this point and time might make the better President.
I just don't see how anyone could think the McCain/Palin would. Would you really want Palin for President if something happend to McCain?
Pardon me Linda... are you saying that Obama did not vote for the bailout? I do believe he did. Obama gives great speeches... that is the sum total of his ability. His fund raisers are great at getting foreign money though.
Proof?
No I was talking about McCain the Maverick he is the one pointing fingers when he himself is guilty of being a Socialist. As for his campaign money McCain has quite a few question to answer for it seems he had surpass his own rules and has broken them. If you can prove what you are saying about foreign money post it or stop smearing you have no prove.
Obama is nuning a great campaign, McCain is a derail train, he needs anger management classes.
If you think Obama is nothing but a typical politician, you're in for a rude awakening. He tells everyone what they want to hear--- he's an empty suit looking for votes, and if that were all, it wouldn't be that bad.

Vote McCain/Palin.
McCain had 26 years to prove himself and he Failed honey. By the way when you post something you have to post the site you got it from or it will be consider false information.
As for they insurance you left out the part where McCain wants to tax your health plan and it cost 12,000 to get insurance in the first place do the math.
McCain judgement : Well we all saw that when he picked Palin and how he handled the Financial Collapse we are in, McCain went to Washington to save the day and was told to go home by his own Party, Then he signed the Bail out Pkg how is that for judgement.
McCain Military = Contras to what you have been led to believe he is not Hero he gave military plans to the Vietnamese for a trip to the hospital. We lost 60% of out men because of that.
Well put JV!
McCain also wants to continue the policy of free trade, you know, that's when American companies layoff thousands of American workers and flea overseas for cheaper labor and inferior products.
You go right ahead and vote for McCain/Palin because you have probably already been affected by their policies so you don't have anything to lose.
Why do you post this in every seed? Its advertising not facts
As far as The bail out package is concerned.
According to voting results, 172 Democrats voted in favor of the bill while 62 opposed it; and 91 Republicans voted for it and 108 voted against it.
I don't usually post sites but you want to know what site information comes from so here it is. http://money.cnn.com/2008/10/03/news/economy/house_friday_bailout/?postversion=2008100313
As far as how Obama voted here is one for the readers. /www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/29/campaign.wrap/index.html">http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/29/campaign.wrap/index.html
Typo correctio;
How Obama voted on the bail out.
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/29/campaign.wrap/index.html
Duh I know but my point is that McCain is saying that Obama is a Socialist and that would make him one too since he voted for the same bill. Besides the Republicans have been practicing Socialism for years now. Do you home work. Are you forgetting that Bush Bailed out other Banks before this bail out and the McCain voted with Bush 90% of the times for his policies.
Lets look at reality here: How long is it going to take to recover from Bush's foriegn policy?
How is McCain any different?

With regards to what is precieved about "hispanics" and "blacks" relationship towards one another. Many "hispanics" have strong african roots. Its in our skin color, hair texture, music, culture and most importantly in our history. Some groups more than others (Puertorican, Cuban, Dominican) have VERY strong ties to our "black" or shall we more appropriately say African roots. What makes people SO sure that we do not get along with "blacks"? Many of US are black. We may not be African, African American, but we sure are or have "blacks" in our family. Excuse me for digressing, but as a "hispanic" I am sure getting tired of people assuming "hispanics" mean white hipanics. Although I myself am a "white hispanic" but dont you think for one second that It means that I dislike my "black" father.
They don't have to, because he is still going to win.
