Burger King Holdings Inc. said Friday its fiscal first-quarter profit climbed 2 percent, helped by strong sales worldwide. Consumers overseas ordered limited-time Whopper sandwiches while U.S. diners sampled the chain's new products like its Steakhouse burger and Kids Meal.

_Globally: rose 3.6 percent.
_U.S. and Canada: up 3.2 percent.
_Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific: jumped 4.8 percent.
_Latin America: increased 5.2 percent.
