— Italian police say they have arrested 47 people including the wife of a jailed mafia boss in raids on a Naples-based organized crime syndicate.
Naples police say the suspects are members of the Camorra syndicate wanted for crimes including murder, extortion and drug trafficking.
The Camorra's Gionta clan operates in the town of Torre Annunziata south of Naples.
Police say suspect Gemma Donnarumma allegedly ran the clan after her husband, Valentino Gionta, was convicted and sentenced to life for murder.
Authorities say they also seized bank accounts and assets worth about 80 million euros ($102 million) in the raids Tuesday.
