Fla. man accused of hurling sandwich at girlfriend

PORT ST LUCIE — A Florida man is accused of tossing a sandwich at his girlfriend as they cruised down an interstate, knocking off her glasses and nearly causing her to lose control of the car.

Police say 19-year-old Emmanuelle Rodriguez is charged with domestic battery for Friday's sandwich-tossing incident. According to police, Rodriguez became angry during an argument as she drove and threw the sandwich at her because he didn't want to hit her.

A police report didn't specify what type of sandwich was involved.

Police also say Rodriguez ripped off the rearview mirror and used it to break the windshield.

Rodriguez was released Saturday on $7,500 bail. Court records show Rodriguez did not have an attorney as of Thursday.

Well, here in the Philippines such hitting partners with a sandwich is common.

In fact, i saw police blotters with women always complaining that they were hit by hard objects by their husbands/partners.

I hope that this will give a lesson to this kind of people, and I pray that God will change their attitudes.

I read the title and knew it had to happen in Florida. 

I once flicked a chocolate chip at my then boyfriend...but it was not in a mean sort of way.  I've also pelted people with marshmallows.  :/

      Quite frankly I think this situation is humorous!!! =]  That is not the best reason 2 go 2 jail...  They have hard core criminals in there.  Can u imagine wut they would do 2 such a person?!? Poor fella.  I hope his anal sphincter is still in tact....
