US dollar mostly higher in Europe

LONDON — The U.S. dollar was mostly higher against other major currencies in European trading Monday morning. Gold fell.

The euro traded at $1.3694, down from $1.3854 late Friday in New York.

Other dollar rates:

_93.05 Japanese yen, up from 92.17

_1.1003 Swiss francs, up from 1.0793

_1.2162 Canadian dollars, up from 1.2141

The British pound was quoted at $1.4565, up from $1.4471.

Gold traded in London at $860.00 per troy ounce, down from $874.50 late Friday.
