UPS extends contract with Ford

ATLANTA — UPS Inc. said Tuesday it has extended its contract with Ford Motor Co. to continue providing logistics services for the delivery of new cars to dealers.

Financial terms were not disclosed. As part of the contract, UPS ships Ford's finished vehicles from assembly plants to dealerships in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

UPS said it has worked with Ford since 2000.

Shares of UPS fell 42 cents to $49.90 in late morning trading.

Ford's shares rose 17 cents, or 2.9 percent, to $5.95.
