LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas Sands Corp.'s Palazzo hotel-casino has filed a lawsuit over the sale of clothing items such as T-shirts bearing the name of the hotel.
Palazzo filed suit Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Las Vegas against Palazzo Design Corp. of Houston, saying the Texas company is claiming exclusive rights to sell Palazzo clothing items.
Las Vegas Sands attorneys dispute that claim and are asking the court to declare that it has the right to sell Palazzo clothing at its resort.
The lawsuit says Palazzo Design has offered to license or sell the trademark rights to the Strip hotel.
Calls from The Associated Press to Palazzo Design Corp. and to an attorney listed in court documents as representing the company were not immediately returned Wednesday.
