MINNEAPOLIS — Military contractor Alliant Techsystems Inc. on Thursday boosted its full-year earnings and sales outlook citing strong fiscal first-quarter results.
The company said it now expects to earn between $8.45 and $8.60 per share in fiscal 2010, up from its previous prediction of $8.05 to $8.25 per share.
Analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters expect a profit of $8.21 per share.
Alliant Techsystems also increased its full-year sales outlook to a range of $4.80 to $4.85 billion, up from his previous prediction of $4.73 to $4.80 billion. Analysts, on average, expect $4.78 billion in sales.
