NEW YORK — Industrial holding company KHD Humboldt Wedag International Ltd. said on Thursday that it has named James Purkis as chief operating officer.
Purkis is taking over those duties from CEO and President Jouni Salo.
Purkis has been with KHD since June 2008, when he was named president of the construction division. He was previously general manager and project director for Alstom Transport Singapore.
KHD shares rose 2 cents to close at $9.90.
