Continental says consolidated revenue fell in July

HOUSTON — Continental Airlines Inc. said Thursday its consolidated revenue fell 31.2 percent in July.

The Houston-based airline also said consolidated capacity fell 6.9 percent in July from a year earlier and 6 percent in August year-over-year.

Average occupancy, or its load factor, was 84 percent to 85 percent in the third quarter. For the full year, the load factor is 80 percent to 81 percent.

Continental shares fell 30 cents to close at $16.32 on Thursday.
