— SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Hobbled by an injured toe, Jimmy Clausen connected with Golden Tate on a 33-yard touchdown with 5:26 remaining, and Kyle McCarthy sealed the win with an interception in the red zone with just over one minute remaining to give Notre Dame a 33-30 win. The win ends Michigan State's six-game winning streak at South Bend, but the Irish also lost star wide receiver Michael Floyd to a broken collarbone. Armando Allen paced the Notre Dame ground attack with 115 yards and a touchdown. Clausen was 22-for-31 for 299 yards and two touchdowns.
