Agco seeks to use gov't grant for biomass project

DULUTH — Farm equipment manufacturer Agco Corp. said Wednesday it wants to use an Energy Department grant of up to $5 million for a project focused on the efficient collection and transportation of biomass to production plants for processing.

Agco will be working with renewable fuel producers and industrial experts who focus on bio-fuels and energy crops.

Agco offers a full product line of tractors, combines, hay tools, sprayers, forage, tillage equipment, implements, and related replacement parts.
