— Hey, Julie: The show this week revolved around the discovery of Julie Meyer, who was strangled and left for dead at the end of last week's episode. Various "Housewives" and their pals were going about their business when Karen McCluskey and boyfriend Roy discovered Julie unconscious on the lawn. But at the hospital, Lynette confessed to Susan and the doctors that Julie might be pregnant. Tests later proved that she wasn't, but Susan couldn't understand why Lynette had kept such an enormous secret from her. Lynette finally admitted that she herself is pregnant, and that's why Julie felt she could talk to her about it, then confessed she's thinking of not having the babies. (The word "abortion" is never said, but you get the idea.) But when Susan tells her that all she wants in the world is one more day as Julie's mom, Lynette decides that she can go through the whole motherhood rodeo again.
A kiss is still a kiss: Bree and Karl had just done the deed for the first time when Karl received a call from Mike telling him about Julie. He and Susan gathered in their daughter's hospital room, and an innocent-acting Bree showed up later. When Susan left the room, Bree and Karl kissed — just as Julie woke up and saw them, then fell back unconscious. A frantic Bree pressed the doctor asking if Julie would remember anything she saw, and he bluntly told her he thought she would. Then Bree tried to sound out Susan on how she'd feel if a friend dated Karl, and Susan said she'd never talk to such a friend again. Looks like Wisteria Lane's own Martha Stewart better keep her relationship with the braggy divorce lawyer secret, at least for now.
Family with secrets: After Julie was found, suspicion immediately fell on the new Bolen family, especially son Danny. He wasn't much of a help, telling parents Angie and Nick that he didn't really remember where he'd been the night before since he'd been drinking. Gaby and Carlos' new teen, Ana, lied to the cops for him to provide an alibi, but when Gaby made her take the lie back, Danny was carted off in a cop car.
Delusions of love: Mike and Susan have been married for a day, and Susan's daughter's life hangs in the balance. Still, Katherine sees this as a great time to try and get Mike back. When dropping off a casserole for the worried family, she tries to plant one on Mike, who fights back. Later, when Orson stops by, Katherine spins a different tale, saying Mike made a pass at her. And of course, she begs, don't tell Bree — she wouldn't want word to get back to Susan. Except that's exactly what she wants.
Line of the week: "Can I borrow your mace?" — Gaby to the cops when Ana claims she snuck out of the house.
Best part of next week's preview: He's baaaack. John the hunky gardener, and Gaby's onetime lover, returns. He's still hot, Carlos is still mad, and Gaby may still be interested.
