Company to pay almost $400,000 in back overtime

SUGAR LAND — The U.S. Labor Department says a British contractor has agreed to pay nearly $400,000 in back overtime wages.

According to a Labor Department statement issued Wednesday, its investigation of Sugar Land, Texas-based RBG USA Inc. found that 482 contract engineers and construction and technical personnel weren't properly paid under federal law. The personnel worked in Sugar Land and Cohocton, N.Y.

RBG USA General Manager Niels Kastrup said the company would have no comment on the agreement.

RBG USA Inc. is a subsidiary of Aberdeen, Scotland-based RBG Ltd. and provides engineering services to oil, gas, petrochemical and wind-power industries.
