KANSAS CITY — A woman has been charged with trashing a McDonald's restaurant in Missouri because she was unhappy with her cheeseburger. Police said they received many tips after releasing video of the Dec. 27 incident.

In the video, which has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times online, a customer is seen throwing a sign and a water dispenser over a counter and pushing three cash registers to the floor.

On Tuesday, the Jackson County prosecutor's office charged 19-year-old Alesha McMullen of Kansas City with Class D felony property damage. It wasn't immediately known if McMullen has an attorney. A phone listing for her could not be found.

Police say McMullen told officers her order was prepared wrong and the restaurant refused to give her a refund.

Trash trashes McDonald's. That should be the headline! What an idiot! If she has that much of a temper over a crummy 2 dollar burger, what's she like at home with her kids, if she has any??

Wow! First a woman breaks a drive-thru window because of McDonald's chicken nuggets, now this. Is McDonald's food really that good? I have sent food back many times, but I've never asked for my money back, just that my order be made right. What is wrong with these people?

Drama queen...........Dairy Queen next time?

As long as it is culturaly acceptable for women to throw themselves on the ground screaming whenever, happy, sad, upset, excited, there will continue to be incidents like this.

Note how the children (in the pics) are taking it all in.......Mommas, find and teach the self control button!!!

And is it culturally acceptable for MEN to do this?

I also notice you leave Poppas out of your "teaching self control" tirade. Sexist much?

Boons, pity we usually agree on most stuff, but.......no, not sexist much, realist all the time. The men are usually no where to be found. You can deny it or call it what you want, or be politically correct, doesn't matter.

The black culture, or maybe it's the ghetto culture, encourages and embraces extreme drama, watch any group of young blacks in any city, anywhere. The young men shoot each other over STUPID petty things, and the young women cat fight and hurl themselves on the ground whenever something emotional happens.... OR, act like this!

And, I don't care if Black American doesn't suit you, as the grandmother of African grands, they are African, and actually get insulted when white Americans insist black Americans are African.

My reaction was hardly a tirade, a little drama of your own, perhaps?

Sounds like she needs to be served up a bit of jail fare. That might just settle her down a bit!

Not to mention fewer burgers. It's fast food. They don't call it gourmet for a reason.

You always heard that story about McD's adding stuff to the special sauce to make some people addicted. Sounds like this week someone added a bit to much.

Check out the look on those kid's faces watching this woman. I can only imagine what they think after seeing that show.

Disclaimer: She was way out of line, I agree.

But there is just a small little piece of me that is cheering her on. I have had more than one incident that I seriously contemplated jumping over a counter and or freaking out on a cashier!

kjoy i agree with you, while I agree she was totally over the top I have had my food wrong so many times that sometimes I have felt the same way. One time at burger king who claims to give it your way, I ordered a hamburger with pickle, onion, light mustard. When I got it, i opened it to make sure that it was right, it had so much mustard that it was actually coming out of the wrapper and got on my hands. I had ordered through the drive through so I went in and unwrapped the burger and showed my receipt to the cashier and asked, "Does that look like light mustard to you?" in a very mean voice, she said they would fix it, i told them i wanted my money back because i didnt want my hamburger to get spit on, but like i said I definitely dont condone what this lady did, but I understand it, especially if it wasnt the first time. And you never know what kind of day this woman had, this could have been the straw that broke the camels back.

Most likely the slob already ate the burger and THEN decided to complain, and that's why they wouldn't accommodate her. Oldest trick in the book. They eat all or most of the food and then tell the waitress it was substandard and they want a refund. I've seen rich people do this, too, so it's not just McD's customers or poor people.

I am just happy to know I am not the only one that has violent scenes flash in my head. There is nothing I hate more than a person working in food service that does not want to be there. There are plenty of folks that would be happy to have the job, so greet me, be polite, and take my f*cking order!!!! I have worked in food service, I was the fry girl, the pizza girl, the hoagie girl, the cheesesteak girl (you get the point) and I loved those jobs.

boons... People are triffling at times. Always trying to get something for free and when they get loud they need to be dealt with! I hate to see a manager cave to them.

You don't get between a woman that big and her burger! Those workers should be happy they weren't eaten during the rampage.

I heard they got rid of her by tossing some McNuggets out the side door.

She reminds me of one of the Obese fat kids on TV that throw temper tantrums when their parents refuse them 4th and 5th helpings.

I wonder if she'll use the PMS defense?

            PMS....Pissed at McDonald's Syndrome?

Good one, boons. Men seem to think every time a woman pitches a fit it's because of "hormones", esp if the woman is mad at them. If this woman uses PMS as her excuse, she needs to be put on medication to lessen the symptoms!

LOL, Boons, LV MomI'm joking. I suppose your insight IS correct!

Men can not understand women in their complexity. Lord knows I try. To me, every emotion my wife has is a mystery. I am like Sherlock holmes in trying to find a root source of cause so I can get her to "feel" her way out of it(not be mad at me).

By our very nature, women tend to feel things where men try to explain them. A good example is listening to women talk about problems compared to men. This is not true for all mind you.

Women tend to talk until one feels better about something. They sympathize and empathize until they get around to feeling better and the conversation continues from there.

Men tend to skip that part and go directly to cause and effect. We start telling each other what we think we should do to correct the situation. This normally leads to an "A Ha!" moment and we FEEL better simply because we think we know what to do to correct the situation. The part about communicating with our women to explain emotion never occurs.

I am generally speaking. I learned a long to time ago that you can not tell feeling how to feel. You can do all the right things(according to you), but unless your feminine partner understands and feels that you are trying, they will only nitpick the bad instead of seeing the good.

It is essential to any relationship. Generally speaking that is what remains the mystery to men - What are women FEELING?

men seem to think... esp if the woman is mad at them

You mean women don't have ESP? I'm confused ;)

Women do have ESP, just ask my kids. Of course, they also think I have eyes in the back of my head and never sleep ;-) in the sentence you referred to I was abbreviating "especially", though.

Miss Manners must not have spent much time with her. The good news is, someone will rat her out, because a person that mean-spirited doesn't keep friends for long.
