NASHVILLE — The Associated Press has withdrawn its story about a flooding death in Nashville, Tenn. The medical examiner has determined that the 53-year-old homeless man who police earlier identified as a flooding victim instead died in the past 24 hours.

these people need aid and assistance now. I was going to meeting the first of June in Nashville and the organization cancelled it. the people are in my prayers and hopefully no one else is hurt.

I know it's just awful. Flew to a conference at Opryland last year. :( Nice people, great place to be. Prayers!

Thank goodness it's not New England or some other nice place. I hope the people get the aid they need to rebuild and recover.

Hmmmmmm! must have spent all our aid money on Haiti as there doesn't seem to be anything left for Nashville, actually, it is being totally ignored, probably too ______

Dear MSNBC, You folks are the last and best hope for honest and informative journalism in America...Please continue your efforts with all the integrity and courage you have displayed for many years...I am a decorated veteran and fear for our Republic and the direction it may lead to with the current discourse in American politics....I am not a religious man but, forever what it's worth, God Bless You All, sincerely, Blade Underwood.

Blade, I hope you get a chance to look at current news such as ABC nightly news: I read a lot of articles and listen to the news at night: for the most part ABC is right on the money and earlier than most, but it correlates with what I see here, in other articles and in peridocals. I like to ground-truth the media from time to time. READ about the Rebound Effect. Everyting having to do with the geologic situation we are in now is there: Draw your own conclusions. The pressures in the oil fields of the Gulf are under new levels of pressure, the ice in the funnel placed over the well head are associated with it. Bolles's Laws of gases is part of this. Like a refrigerator, compressed gases cool when the pressure is released, propane bottle leaks are a good example. The pressures these guys are working with are in excess of 40k lbs/sq in. My .338 rifle has chamber pressures of 60k lbs. / sq. in., just to put it in perspective. Sorry guys I don't mean to get off topic......ya, ya, I did! Point is we have lots of dissaster to go around and we have one man at the top taking all the pressure. We're pretty sharp, I think we can all add to the answer end of the equation! I've seen it many times on the 'vine. Cut me some slack! You can accomplish anything you want to: River likes economics, I do atmospheric physics, get to work, make this a better country.

Glad to see some coverage. My husband works in downtown Nashville and has been working at a call center without air conditioning for two days. Many many people have lost everything and have no flood insurance.
