NEW YORK — On her Comedy Central show, Sarah Silverman got drunk on cough syrup, mocked the abortion rights debate and seduced none other than God.

That's all over now.

The network says "The Sarah Silverman Program," which recently ended its third outrageous season, won't be back for a fourth.

Inspired by Silverman's persona as a standup comic, the scripted show featured her as a flighty, self-consumed slacker living in the fictional town of Valley Village.

Audience erosion was deemed the main reason for canceling the show.

she's a tough one for me.

cause about half the time I find her funny, and the other half I find her "the opposite of funny" which is like, more than not funny, you know?

oh well, Sarah, see you at the next comedy central roast.

Me too. I just don't find her funny. I like my comedy "edgy" but just bringing up controversial topics isn't the same as making them funny.

I don't find her very funny either. I'm happy to see others share my opinion.

Few have the finesse it takes to bring up a controversial topic and infuse it with humor. Jon Stewart has it, Sarah Silverman does not.

Sarah Silverman has never come off as funny to me; only pathetic. She is a testament to the concept of wasted potential. I'll never understand how she was able to dupe Comedy Central into believing she was relevant or humorous. "Audience erosion" as Comedy Central puts it; is caused by audience boredom. That is a mental state familiar to just about anyone who has ever lasted more than five minutes into one of Sarah's standup comedy routines.

Sorry, Sarah. I'll venture my opinion that you're reasonably attractive, a bit sexy and probably intelligent, but . . . comediens are supposed to be funny. You just make peope think you might have been better suited to be an accountant; or a librarian.
