DETROIT — Chrysler Group LLC says its sales slid about 12 percent from May to June as worries about the economy weighed on consumers.
But the company says its sales last month rose 35 percent over the same month last year. Last June's numbers were poor, though, because the company had just emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
The company says its brands — Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram — saw gains over June of 2009. Dodge led the brands with a 67 percent increase.
Chrysler sold more than 92,000 cars and trucks last month, compared with only 68,000 in June of last year.
