HACKENSACK — Logan Aronhalt had a career-high 27 points and 10 rebounds as Albany (N.Y.) routed Fairleigh Dickinson 72-46 on Saturday night for its first victory of the season.

The Great Danes (1-3) led by as many as 12 in the first half, but the Knights (0-2) cut the deficit to 38-34 early in the second half.

Albany responded with 18 of the game's next 20 points to take a commanding lead in the first game between the two schools since March 6, 1959.

Albany shot 55.6 percent in the first half (15 of 27), but cooled off to 39.3 percent in the second (11 of 28).

The Great Danes made up for the poor shooting with their zone defense, which held Fairleigh Dickinson to 24 percent shooting in the second half (6 of 25) and 29.1 percent (16 of 55) for the game.

Mike Scott was the only Knights player in double figures, scoring 23 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field.
