NEW YORK — Actor Wesley Snipes says he relied on the advice of tax professionals and doesn't believe he deserves a three-year prison sentence for failing to pay taxes.

Snipes says his case has been misrepresented in the media and he wanted to clear the air on CNN's "Larry King Live" Tuesday night. He said he's not nervous about reporting to a Pennsylvania prison Thursday. He says he was more upset and disappointed that the legal system was not working in his favor.

Snipes did not directly blame his accountants or financial advisors on his troubles, but said he relied on their advice.

The 48-year-old star of the "Blade" trilogy was convicted in 2008 in a Florida court on three misdemeanor counts of willful failure to file income tax returns.

You did the crime now do your time and get it over with. Stop whining like a little bytch that you are. Make Bubba a happy camper in your new cell.

PS: Give him an extra 3 years for all his krappy films.

Looks like he ran into a bit Hard Luck. I bet when the U.S. Marshals take him to prison he'll quicking learn how to make a Blade. Let's just hope he doesn't commit a Murder at 1600, then he'll be in Major League trouble.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Bye Snipes, to have lived the luxury that you did and feel that you were above the rest of us who do pay doesn't allow me to feel your pain at all.

So why isn't Rangel going to prison? He just gets a slap on the hand, oh yeah and in front of his cronies, so he'll feel bad!!! Big deal. He should be in prison too.

What so-called tax "professional" was he taking advice from? I have mixed feelings about this case; any tax "professional" with any kind of training and integrity should know better. Just because you're in a different tax bracket, it doesn't entitle you to anything. I don't understand why the accountant wasn't fined, fired, or stripped of his/her license.
