— Manchester United moved into the Premier League lead, beating Arsenal 1-0 Monday night on Park Ji-sung's goal in the 41st minute.

Manchester United (9-0-7) has 34 points, two more than Arsenal (10-5-2) and Manchester City (9-3-5) and three ahead of Chelsea (9-4-4).

Wayne Rooney sent a penalty kick high and wide for United in the 73rd minute after Gael Clichy was called for a hand ball in the penalty area.

Wojciech Szczesny, a 20-year-old Polish goalkeeper, made his Premier League debut for the Gunners and pulled off several difficult saves, including a spectacular stop to deny Rooney in the 85th minute.
