Ohio man blames Ozzy Osbourne for traffic arrest

CLEVELAND — An Ohio drunken-driving suspect is blaming his arrest on Ozzy Osbourne. William Liston was arrested Christmas Eve in suburban Cleveland. WJW-TV says he told police officers, "Ozzy Osbourne and his music made me do it."

Osbourne's hits as lead singer of heavy metal band Black Sabbath and as a solo artist include "Paranoid" and "Road to Nowhere."

Liston is awaiting arraignment. He's to appear in court Tuesday on a charge of operating a vehicle while impaired.

In an unrelated case, Liston pleaded not guilty Thursday in Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH'-guh) County Common Pleas Court in a November break-in at a medical office. He was released on bond.

Telephone calls to the 33-year-old Liston's home in Aurora have gone unanswered.

That's not as bad as "the music is telling our kids to kill themselves."

Suicide Solution
Ozzy Osbourne – Blizzard of Ozz – 1980

Wine is fine but whiskeys quicker
Suicide is slow with liquor
Take a bottle and drown your sorrows
Then it floods away tomorrows

The religious have been doing it for centuries. It's pathetic for all of them.

It was Keith's fall from atop a coconut tree that changed him.

I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts. Usually it's a coconut that falls from the tree and conks you on the head. With Keith I can see him falling. WTF was he doing up there?

He's Keith Richards. For the last 60 years, people have been asking "WTF is he doing up there?"

True. Except for when they've asked, "WTF is he doing down there?"

That;s what I'm talking about. He doesn't have too many brain cells left, but I watched his show a few years ago, and couldn't' help but kind of like him. Like they say in the South, "He kain 't hep it"

There is a lot more going on in that brain than you think. Listen to his recent stuff.

He's started doing an advice column for Rolling Stone. I actually saw it the other day. It's really, really there. But that didn't stop me from coming home and Googling it to make sure I wasn't hallucinating. :)

Why do people blame heavy metal, rock and/or rap for bad stuff? They tell you that things suck in the songs, when stuff does end up sucking you can't say it is their fault. The ones who should get blamed are people like Pat Boone and all the other gospel people for telling you things are great in their songs.

Why do people blame heavy metal, rock and/or rap for bad stuff?

Because they won't take personal responsibility. This is what our society has come to. Pretty pathetic.

From just the article title(not knowing it was a drunk driving charge) I totally got it. "Shot in the Dark" somehow makes my lead foot come out. That song comes on, and I'm suddenly doing 85..... don't ask me why. Maybe it's my own singing I'm trying to get away from.

Maybe next time set your cruise control.... if ya have one. If the radio is loud enough you'll sound as good as Ozzy...
