WASHINGTON — In a story March 24 about Ralph Nader's call for eliminating college athletic scholarships and replacing them with need-based financial aid, The Associated Press reported that the Drake Group, a college athletic watchdog organization, favors banning them. The group has called for replacing one-year athletic scholarships with need-based financial aid, or with multi-year athletic scholarships that extend to graduation.

This is one of the reason why this man would never be Pres. Does he know how many women and men use scholarships to get an education and the many things they have done using that education.

The problem is some coaches in the college ranks get to much money. I don't think anyone needs Million(s) to coach college kids. No one in college should get a 7 dollar figure contract

It is far more deeply embedded than just in collage. We have quite a few Gov's attacting education in K-12, attacking teachers, art and music, and leaving the sports alone. How much money is being spent on "games" of one sort or another. Instead of kids wanting to be doctors or scientist, they want to be a NFL or NBA player. Now don't get me wrong we need kids to exercise but to put "games" above education it is just wrong.

He won't win just because his thought process isn't mainstream draconian politics.
