ARLINGTON — James Stewart raced to his fourth AMA Supercross victory of the season, edging Ryan Dungey in front of 59,518 fans Saturday night at the Edward Jones Dome to end an eight-race winless streak.

"It's been a while since I have been up here," Stewart said. "This feels great, and I am really happy for the team, who has been behind me 100 percent this year.

The victory also was Stewart's first since he was arrested late last month in Florida for impersonating a police officer. Stewart, the Yamaha star from Haines City, Fla., was arrested for using red and blue lights to pull over a vehicle that contained two off-duty troopers.

Stewart and his passenger, Quinault Jehrrod, were both charged with felonies. Stewart was charged with impersonating an officer and Jehrrod with tampering with evidence after trying to hide the lights in a backpack. Both were released on cash bonds.

Points leader Ryan Villopoto was third. He has a 275-270 lead over Dungey with three races left.

"I'll take a third place finish. It is much better than last year," said Villopoto, who sustained a season-ending injury last year in St. Louis. "I am looking forward to going to my hometown race next weekend in Seattle."

Earlier, Honda's Justin Barcia, from Ochlocknee, Ga., extended his Eastern Regional Supercross Lites class points lead to 20 points with his third victory of the season.
