NEW YORK — Prosecutors say they're waiting for further psychiatric evaluations of Uma Thurman's convicted stalker before deciding what's next in a New York case charging him with trying to contact her again.
Jack Jordan was in court Wednesday for a brief update on the case.
His lawyer and prosecutors have said they've discussed the potential for a plea deal but haven't reached any agreement. Prosecutors are now waiting for an assessment by a doctor they've hired to add to other examinations of Jordan.
He's pleaded not guilty to charges including contempt and stalking.
He was convicted in 2008 of stalking and harassing Thurman. He was sentenced to three years' probation and ordered not to try to contact her for five years. Prosecutors say he called some of her phone lines in October.
