ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Evangelist Billy Graham was admitted Wednesday to a North Carolina hospital with a pulmonary condition.
Graham, 92, was at Mission Hospital in Asheville, near his home in Montreat.
"Initial testing suggested pneumonia, and further diagnostic studies showed his heart was normal," said a statement from Mission Hospital.
"Appropriate antibiotics are being administered, and he is clinically stable at this time," pulmonologist Shaw Henderson was quoted as saying in the statment.
No date was set for his release, but Graham's primary physician, Lucian Rice, stated that he was "resting comfortably and is fully alert."
