BUENOS AIRES — The son of former Argentina President Carlos Menem is in the hospital again after another driving incident.
This time Carlos Nair Menem has shot himself in the right knee.
According to radio interviews, Menem was double-parked outside a nightclub when a truck driver honked at him to move early Wednesday.
The truck driver tells Radio La Red that Menem threatened him with a revolver, which fired and hit Menem in the knee as both men wrestled with the gun.
Menem tells the station that he accidentally shot himself as he got out of his car and never threatened the driver.
The 30-year-old son of the former president had the same knee fixed last year after crashing his car into a fast-food restaurant.
