NEW YORK — Rocker Gene Simmons and his longtime girlfriend, actress Shannon Tweed, are engaged.

Publicist Dawn Miller said in an email Friday that she is "happy to confirm that Gene and Shannon will be getting married in the near future."

The engagement was reported by "Entertainment Tonight."

The new season of the reality show "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" premieres Oct. 4 on the A&E network. The 62-year-old Kiss bassist and the 54-year-old Tweed have two children.

Man she has put up with sooo much infidelity crap...its heard to not believe she stayed for the money. Who in their right mind would be so publicly disrespected and stay?
