NEW YORK — Ellen Burstyn will star in the world premiere of "The Atmosphere of Memory" by David Bar Katz.

The LAByrinth Theater Company said Thursday that the Tony-, Emmy- and Oscar-winner begins performances of the dark comedy on Oct. 15. Opening night is set for Oct. 30.

LAByrinth recently got a boost from its successful Tony-nominated play "The Motherf----- With the Hat" by founding member Stephen Adly Guirgis. It has found a new home at a Bank Street theater.

"The Atmosphere of Memory" will run until Nov. 13.

This year, Burstyn appeared in Lillian Hellman's "The Children's Hour" in London. She won an Academy Award for "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore," an Emmy for "Law & Order: SVU" and a Tony for "Same Time, Next Year."
