Lawsuit: Gingrich security stomped on man's foot

ORLANDO — A central Florida man is suing Newt Gingrich, claiming a security officer for the Republican presidential candidate stomped on his foot "like he was stomping out a cigarette."

Edward Dillard claims his foot was fractured by the security team after voting Tuesday in the Orlando suburb of Windermere.

Dillard was wearing a Ron Paul T-shirt and holding a sign when Gingrich arrived. The lawsuit claims a "swarm" of security guards from Patriot Group International surrounded Dillard and one stomped on his foot while he was wearing open sandals, causing a fracture.

Ron Paul's campaign called for Gingrich to apologize. Messages left Saturday with Gingrich's campaign and Patriot Group were not immediately returned.

The lawsuit seeks damages in excess of $75,000.

I would imagine that it will be a cold day in Hell before Gingrich would lower himself to take and responsibility for his thugs actions against someone for simply holding up a sign for a rival, after he had been at that location even before the Holy Grail on Wheels carrying his Royal Lardness Gingrich and his bevy of divine thugs even arrived. Dillard had ever right to be there, and do what he did, as the last time I heard America is still a free country. Obviously, that would change if Gingrich was elected, which is just a pipeline dream for him and his 'honest' woman at this point.

But, Gingrich will see it as it had nothing to do with him, so he has no reason to apologize. While some may see that as true, that the candidates themselves may not be responsible for every individual that is associated with their campaign, IMHO, every candidate is responsible for the kind of campaign they want to run, the kind of people they choose to be associated with their campaign and what kind of image it will present to the public. And, the truth is, the buck stops at the top desk.

Gingrich saw the lad with the sign when he debarked the bus. If he didn't want to have Dillard or his sign visible during his speech to the small crowd that gathered there, he could have stopped short of where Dillard was standing or gone to the opposite side. But, no, Gingrich was the one who actually initiated the incident by deliberately walking over and standing directly in front of Dillard and then prompted his thugs to harass Dillard.

I read in another article that the place where Dillard chose to stand, away from the area near the polling place so as not to violate any rules, was supposedly the chosen place where Gingrich would be giving his speech. But, the area was not marked or blocked off, and no one told Dillard that the area where he was standing was where Gingrich would be giving his speech, and the area was temporarily off limits. But, nothing was said to Dillard, and he knew nothing about what was slated to take place there. Dillard was there even before Gingrich arrived. He did not go there after Gingrich arrived in an attempt to interfere or disrupt Gingrich's speech, never said a word while Gingrich spoke until he was viciously attacked by the goon that fractured his foot. Dillard was taking a picture with his cell phone camera of the man grinding his heel into his foot, and the goon slapped the phone of out his hand. While trying to pickup the phone Dillard lost his flip-flops, and another of the thugs who was also pushing and shoving Dillard, kicked the flip-flops out of reach and then yelled "Everyone step on his toes! Everyone step on his toes!"

The entire situation was totally deliberate brutal harassment by the Gingrich Goon Squad when none was deserved. Gingrich made no effort to stop the harassment nor did anyone else in the crowd. Making the Gingrich supporters just as guilty as the goons who attacked Dillard.

So, IMHO, Gingrich the Great will never apologize....to anyone...for anything. He can not bring himself to be that humble, or civilized.

It wasn't that long ago that a liberal activist was throat stomped at a Rand Paul rally. So I guess

one better be well protected when going tp vote or to a rally. They never issued an apology that

I know of.

Yes, I recall that incident. No...see...it's always the victim's fault that they became a victim. The fact that they were there at all is necessary as far as the GOPTeaBags and their thugs are concerned for it to be the victims fault. Thus, to the candidate and/or their thugs, no apology is necessary, nor given.

Dillard held the Paul sign behind Gingrich. Members of the candidate's private security warned Dillard that he should leave.

so just to get this straight The Newt mobile comes to this guys state, town, neighborhood, polling place and Newt's private thugs tell dillard he needs to leave because they don't like his sign.

Yep...according to the report that I first read:

      http://www.theblaze.com/stories/ron-paul-supporter-suing-gingrich-campaign-claims-security-stomped-on-his-foot/

Dillard was at the voting place earlier and voted, and coming out noticed some Gingrich supporters with signs and T-shirts near the area and went home to put on his Ron Paul T-shirt, grabbed his Ron Paul sign and went back to the voting place and picked an area far enough away from the voting area to be in compliance with the rules and was simply standing there holding up his sign. Later, the bus with Gingrich showed up and his band of thugs deliberately tried to get rid of Dillard so that Gingrich could use that spot for his speech. Dillard refused to leave, which he had the right to do, and then the G-Thugs began their attack on him.

Bad enough that the Gingrich thugs attacked Dillard, they then even tried to get the supporters involved by shouting, "Everyone, step on his toes!!"

A real Presidential class act, eh?
